Small solid button lock knife from CRJB
The crjb Mica is a great entry into the button lock knife thunderdome, I got the all black pvd coated version, and I got to say I am impressed. The knife feels very solid in hand despite its small size, I have larger hands and I can get a full finger grip on the handle without using the finger choil. The ergonomics of the knife feel good, the aluminum handles certainly add to the rock solid build of the knife, and it uses crjb’s signature ar-rpm9 steel. I haven’t found any hotspots after months of owning it. The jimping on the spine on the blade allows for good traction when using the finger choil to choke up on the knife. The action is snappy and the knife is drop shut, it runs on ceramic ball bearings and mine has zero lock stick which is common on lower end button lock knives. No blade-play left to right or up and down, and your thumb easily reaches the thumb studs due to the indentation on the handles. The lanyard hold comes in a variety of colors based on the colorway you chose, the all black version comes with a neon green lanyard hole, which is a nice touch and adds a pop of color on the knife. The clip is a small deep carry pocket clip which means that no part of this knife will be sticking out of your pocket when you are carrying it. The carry profile and size makes it an ideal carry for an office to open boxes, or something you can throw in your pocket and forget about.Overall this is an amazing budget button lock knife at a great price, if you are thinking about picking it up I would recommend giving this knife a shot.

Extremely sharp
Very sharp blade!! Able to slice through paper without dragging the blade through it. However, the finish on the handle started wearing off within days of carrying it in my pocket.

Hand small knife
Small handy edc but not for large hands. Handle looks good but too slick. A G10 or micarta handle would be good. Button lock is handy and safe.

Big small knife
Very nice, small, thin and at a fraction the cost of similar products from Benchmade and SOG. Perfect little knife to carry and use for normal light-duty tasks.

CLASSY KNIFE
I own several CJRB knives made with AR-RPM9 steel which is a proprietary steel of Artisan Cutlery and the parent company of CJRB knives. The designers for these companies are some of the best. It is considered a budget steel used on knives in the $50 to 100 dollar price range. AR-RPM9 starts as powder steel and then formed into billets from which the blades are made. This is one of my favorite steels, easy to sharpen to a fine sharp edge and keeps that sharpness for quite a while. This particular knife is a small pocket knife with outstanding design features, anodized aluminum scales, ceramic ball bearings captured in brass wafer washers on each side of the blade for a very smooth and easy opening, stainless inset liners inside of the scales, stainless small but strong pocket clip, lanyard hole with a captured brass ferrule, and stainless steel screws to hold it together very nicely. The knife can be opened in many ways: push button, thumb flick, thumb roll, or thumb and off-hand to open it slowly. The opening features are ambidextrous and the knife has what we collectors refer to as fidgit value! The locking mechanism is super secure when open and also serves as a detent when closed. The detent is tight enough to keep it from opening accidentally and still open smoothly with a flick of the thumb. The blade on my knife is perfectly centered between the scales and it can be completely disassembled for cleaning and reassembled easily. The bearings function so well that you can push the button while holding the knife in a blade-down position and the blade will fall out easily and dangle as if it is too loose! It isn't. It is designed that way. While the blade dangles down, carefully try to move the blade sideways from scale to scale and you will notice that there is no play in it at all. If you do have one with side movement, simply tighten the pivot screws with a properly sized Torx screwdriver bit to your desired tension. I do not like large choils (a choil is the quarter moon-shaped cutout on the rear blade) on my knives! It is a waste of sharpened edges. A choil is designed as a finger rest, and on a small knife it is not needed! If you need more control, you can use a pinch grip or the index finger over the blade. A small choil is all that is needed to facilitate sharpening. I have to say that I have one more gripe. I wish American knife makers would make knives like these so that we don't have to send our money to China!rpm9 is a powder steel
