Just buy it!
Buy this chair now! I'm doing to do my best to be as concise as possible and refrain from going on an endless rant about how much I love this chair. What I'm going to do instead is accurately and thoroughly review this marvel of modern engineering. First I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a 6 foot tall 250 pound military member with previous surgery on L5S1 which has left me with nerve pain every day of my life as well as problems on three other levels of my spine. Generally chairs aren't designed to seat a person of my stature and won't last very long. I require a chair that's very sturdy, adjustable and ergonomic. The box came, overjoyed I struggled to lift it into my apartment. The first thing I noticed was the weight of the box. It gave me a sense of assurance in knowing that I bought quality. The Hardware felt to be of good manufacturing. Also I received double the hardware necessary to assemble the chair. I LOVE EXTRA HARDWARE. The instructions were very well illustrated and the chair built in minutes. One thing that I really appreciated was the way adjustments were engineered into the design of the chair. While assembling you can adjust the width of the arm rests. Once the bolts are tightened down your arm rests will only adjust up and down. Another adjustment built into the chairs construction is controlling the distance from the seat to the back rest. This is generally only a feature on higher end chairs and I was happy to see that is has quite a bit of range. The roller blade wheels are amazing! My apartment has tile floor and my old terrible chair struggled to move anywhere, often getting tiny wheels stuck in the grooves of the tile. It generally made navigating chasms of my unorganized room clumsy and difficult. With these rollerblade wheels I can glide from one end of the room to the other. Its effortless, I love it. The mesh feels very comfortable and breathable. The lumbar support is amazing. I nearly fell asleep the moment I sat in this. The lever that allows the chair to tilt back or sit straight up is the kind of lever that you push down or pull up. This is very good because some other chairs have a lever that's essentially a bar that you slide horizontally. Over time the bar can work its way out so when you go to sit back in your chair the lever pops out and the char sends you flying backward. This has happened to me at least fifty or sixty times and I have ended up on the ground as a result of this. The design of the seat back lever of prevents this from happening. This chair is so comfortable that I felt the need to write this review as soon as I sat down. Already my back feels better, my nerve pain is reduced. I had been sitting on a broken chair for over a year and a half until I noticed the amount of discomfort I was ignoring and pulled the trigger on this. I will update this review if anything changes or the chair fails over time.

Great chair - great value - great customer service
Customer service - my chair arrived with the wheels in bad shape. This didn't seem to be a manufacturer defect, it really looked like someone had opened the box and... I really can't explain what happened, but it didn't seem to be the fault of Duramont. In any case, they quickly responded to my email and sent me a new set of wheels that arrived on the earlier end of the range they gave me. Five stars for Duramont customer service! Assembly was fine. I didn't notice the L and R embossed in the plastic on the underside of the seat and initially installed the armrests and lift-control mechanism backwards. Instructions could go from good to great if they pointed out such things. Not a big gripe and much of the blame falls on me. I find the chair comfortable. You know those $1,500-$2,000 name brand office chairs that get all the hype? The Duramont is probably a half a step behind them in terms of comfort, but they are WAY over-priced. Meanwhile, the Duramont is a great value and still very comfortable. Good armrests with nice indentations that fit my arms. The headrest is something I've never used before, but I really like it when I'm reclining. Lumbar support is great! ("Loosen" the knob to increase the support.) The seat is VERY firm. I haven't spent a full day working in the chair yet, but if I have a small ergonomic gripe, that might be it. Regardless, I prefer a firmer cushion to one that's too soft - especially because I suspect a firmer cushion will last longer. If I need it softer, then I'll pickup one of those gel seat cushions you see all over the place. Overall, this is a great chair - and certainly a great value. Unless you're ready to spend 5X or more, I don't know of a better option. And the company gets top marks for their responsive support. Highly recommended!

A Good Value
Update (2/6/20): Almost have had this chair for 2 years now and it's still holding up pretty well. The mesh cushion has sunken a little bit, but is still comfortable. Despite other reviews about the legs of the base breaking, mine have held up perfectly fine. The back mesh is still strong and supports me just fine. The arm rests are still going strong despite my initial concerns. The only annoyance I've had is with the bolt assembly for the back rest. I'm not sure if there were supposed to be nuts included with these, but there should be since I had to re-tighten them on a 1 to 2 week basis if I didn't want the back to wobble when it was supposed to be locked into place. I finally got annoyed enough to just go to a hardware store and find some that would work. This was a few months ago and since then I've not had to re-tighten them. YMMV. ========================================================================================= Original Review: I needed a replacement for my 10 year old office chair, so I figured I would at least get a decent replacement. I received it in the mail a couple days ago and I'm not regretting it so far. Pros: 1. Very comfortable to sit in for more than a couple of hours (my old chair caused me mild back pain after an hour of sitting). The breathable mesh back keeps me fairly cool in my otherwise hot office. 2. Easy to follow instructions. It only took me 30 minutes to put it together. I suggest attaching the back onto the bottom bracket before installing it to the seat unless you have a second person around to help. You also might want to check the shims before you start construction. There are only a few that fit the large screws (I had to take 3 screws back out just to get the right shims). 3. Included everything you needed to put it together. They even threw in some mesh gloves if you don't want to get your hands dirty! 4. The mostly metal construction feels very sturdy and like it will last. 5. Adjustable height arm rests are super nifty. Especially when you're switching between different height desks like me on a regular basis. 6. The casters are very quiet and easy to roll. I can pretty much roll across the office in dead silence if I want. Cons: 1. The box was pretty banged up by the time I received it. I'm not faulting Duramont for this, but it does suck seeing a moderately expensive item come in such a ragged looking package. 2. The chair has a very strong chemical smell. I left it to air out overnight and it has helped, but I definitely need to do it a couple more days. It might not bother you, but it gave me a headache. 3. The armrests feel a little wobbly. This isn't from the bracket being loose, but from the lifter mechanism not being super tight. It's probably fine, but it does make me wonder how long they'll last. Overall I'm happy with it so far. I've sat in more expensive chairs similar to this price and this chair doesn't seem too far behind. It's definitely worth the extra cash over the basic task chairs you'll find everywhere. I'll keep this review updated down the road depending on how well the chair holds up for me, but I think it should be okay for a long time. Cheers!

ADJUST YOURSELF TO ONE OF THE MOST COMFORTABLE OFFICE CHAIRS I HAVE EVER SAT IN!!! UPDATE
UPDATE I have had this chair for almost 3 years. Its as good as it was when new. I had an issue with a pad and their customer service could not have been better. When I decided I needed an office chair for my home office I went to Amazon and started looking. I looked at some 15-20 different office chair, drafting chairs and others. Read about 50 reviews to see what people liked and didnโt like. It was helpful in considering what I needed for a bad back. I finally chose this Duramont Ergonomic model. I could not be happier. The adjustable lumbar support was a clincher in deciding to buy it. The other features I liked was the ability to adjust so many features of the chair. The arm rests move up and down with the push of a button when the chair is set up. I also liked that they could be moved forward and backwards as well as closer together (narrow the width). While these adjustments requires some after assembly screw loosening adjustments they are very easy to make (donโt overtighten the screws when attaching the armrests to the seat). The other adjustments that can be made include the angle of the seat back, the tension it takes to move the seat back, the height of the seat, the height and fit of the head rest (I wasnโt looking for a headrest but glad that the chair has it) and most importantly for people with lower back problems, the placement of the lumbar support. You donโt realize how desirable it is to have all these adjustable features until you finally adjust them and sit in the chair. The chair was a cinch to put together, it took about 30 minutes. Parts were clearly marked, necessary tools were provided, two Allen wrenches. The fit and finish was excellent. It is a quality chair. But the most important consideration is how comfortable it is. One reviewer said he almost fell asleep when he was writing his review. I can see why, it is that comfortable. I wanted mesh for breathability and comfort and this chair has it. I donโt know how long these chairs are supposed to last but my read on quality putting it together indicates it should last a long time. Given all the features I think this chair is well worth the $240 I paid, especially when you look at well known brands like Herman Miller whose chairs sell for $1,000 or so. THIS IS A GREAT VALUE.

Luxurious? No. Wicked comfy? Hella!
First impressions. Replacing a Respawn gaming chair, looking for something with a more robust seat. The Respawn seat flattened to the wood in a few weeks, had to buy a butt cushion, but that's another review. I need a solid well constructed, very comfy all-day chair for telehealth work. I was looking at mesh chairs, but worried about stretch and longevity. Wife nixed all my cushy leathery chairs like the Sertas, and got me to buy this one. Looked like a nice cushy seat, comfortable airy back. Seemed a bit pricey, but I'm cheap (the Sertas evidence to the contrary), which is why the wife picked the chair. It looked good, so we bought the Duramont ergonomic chair for a solid seat and a mesh back, a hybrid. Nicely boxed, heavy. Well packaged, arrived undamaged. Unpacked in a few minutes. I followed the easy directions, one page. Had it together in less than 25 min. It really does come with white cotton gloves, and a very nice T hex wrench. Popped the wheels on, stuck the airlift in the very heavy solid metal base. Nice wheels. The cat is a very big 18 lb Siberian for scale, who is head butting my phone as I try to write this. His name is Zaphod, big lovey lug of a cat. I used the box as a table to build the seat on which made getting it together by myself quite easy. I set the seat upside down on the box. I put the base on first, instead of the armrests, because as an American ain't no one the boss of me. Actually, because ts massively heavy and held the seat down steady. 4 bolts, solid, felt like they could take gorilla tight, but I stopped just short. The armrests were also easy, but I could feel the wood give a bit on a couple bolts so they are nice and tight but also not gorilla tight. Solid. This thing is a tank. First sitting: luxurious? No. Kinda utilitarian. Wicked comfy? Hella yeah. The seat is firm and very comfortable for my 5"11", 235 lbs of chubby buddy. Loving that lumbar pad support, right where its suppose to be on my back. I found I have the armrests all the way up, as well as the head rest, but it's quite comfortable. This seat can be raised really high, my feet don't quite touch the ground at full extension of the airlift, nice for my high desk. First impression: solid, well constructed very comfy chair. Is it worth $329? I wouldn't have bought it, but I'm cheap. My wife never misses getting the quality she pays for, this chair included. Tomorrow's work day will tell if its a solid, well constructed very comfy all-day chair. If you want quality, this is a good bet.

Highly recommend.
OMG!! What a huge improvement!! Firm seat, but oddly more comfortable than my old thick foam one. I'm 6'2", and the height is awesome. Back is comfortable and headrest (who uses a headrest?) is adjustable. The back reclines (the seat doesn't, but I prefer it that way), and the tension is adjustable. The rollers are heavy duty and smooth rolling. Took about 40 min to assemble (I'm slow....and anal), and they provided 1 extra of everything and every fastener used the same hex tool they provided. They even provided a pair of stretchy gloves so you don't get prints on the chrome parts. Also, LOTS of metal....this is a super sturdy chair. I got this for my home office, but am seriously considering getting another for my work office! Absolutely thrilled.

Pretty good chair - long term durability issues
This review comes after 1 year of extended use in a home office. TL/DR: it's a pretty good chair, but be prepared for long-term durability and serviceability issues. The good: it's a comfortable chair. And overall, it's held up pretty well to everyday usage. I'm 6'4 and athletic 240 lbs. Height, headrest, and armrest adjustability has been fine for my body frame. Lumbar support is OK but a little low on my back for me. The bad: (1) The casters. If you're buying this, please just take my word and buy a $30 set of casters with contained bearings when you buy this chair. Like plenty of others said, I started finding bearings on the floor randomly. The grease on the bearings will stain your carpet. After losing enough bearings, I was leaning forward tying my shoes when the front wheel gave out suddenly and sent me lurching face-first into my desk. From delivery to failure was about 6 months. My replacement casters have been good for 8 months since then. Bad (2): the creaks. With the reclining locked upright, if I put any sort of body pressure on the seat back it'll creak this deep mid-rangey grinding sound. If I sit back up, same exact sound. It bugged me for a bit, then I tuned it out. But my poor downstairs neighbors... they say they can hear the creaking transferring through the floor/ceiling. Now I'm super self-conscious about it. And I'm sorry... I don't want to have to be worrying about my chair or doing the silent "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" when I'm sitting back up at 2am and they're asleep below me. Personal problems, yes, but chair 100% at fault for this? Also yes. I've greased the moving parts, taken apart some of it searching for solutions, and I can't find any. Without these 2 issues, it would have been a no-brainer 5 star review. But trust me on buying casters at the same time you buy this chair.

Okay overall; best for taller people
I've only been sitting in this chair full-time for 3 days now, but I already have a good idea of my pros and cons. Pros: - Seems sturdy, I think it will last a while - Easy to assemble - Looks great - Many options for adjusting the chair (arm height, headrest height/angle, lean back, degree of lumbar support, chair height) - Rolls easily (this could be a problem though if your floors are not level) - Seat is comfortable - Comfortable head-rest - You can lock the seat in place to it doesn't lounge back or you can keep it locked in a slightly leaned back position Cons There are a few things about the chair you should be aware of since I think these could be a deal-breaker for some: - Not suited for short people (or should I say, people with short shins). If I measure the bottom part of my leg from the bend of the back of my knee (backside of my leg past my calf) to the ground it's about 16-17 inches. My feet touch the ground but JUST BARELY. This is with the seat at its lowest point. If the chair were a smidge higher I don't think I would be able to use it because my feet would not be able to touch the ground fully. I'm 5'8". - I agree with other reviews that at its most upright position, the chair still feels like it's leaned back too far. I prefer to sit very upright when I work so this is my most major complaint. - Like some other office chairs I have used, you can't move the arm-rests from side to side to make them narrower or wider, and you can't adjust the distance between the seat back and the seat. If you have longer thighs this could be an issue since your knees may go too far past the end of the seat. - The lumbar support is just okay. I don't love it or hate it. I really just wish the seatback leaned forward more to support my upper spine. In summary: if the seatback leaned forward more at its most upright position, and if the chair were a bit shorter at its lowest point, I think this would be the perfect chair for me. If you're on the taller side and naturally tend to lean back slightly when you work I think this is a great purchase. Otherwise, it's not worth it especially at the price point.

Buy an office chair as good as the best you've had - for one-sixth of the cost
I had this chair delivered yesterday after spending a few weeks looking through several options on Amazon and on the web. In a nutshell, this chair is just as good as my office chair, which was specially ordered for me to address occupational health issues with my back. Indeed, I initially considered buying a chair like the one in my office but the price was nearly 6x over what the Duramont is on Amazon. The only difference being that the arm rests can't be adjusted in- or out-wards (but they can certainly be adjusted up or down). The materials and mechanism are visibly high quality, and all the nuts, bolts for assembly, including a handy tool and gloves, come in a cardboard pack. I assembled the product within 20 minutes. Having been through several chairs in my 50-years, I would definitely recommend this one, especially for users from a medium to large frame who like a sturdy, firm chair (I'm 6'2'' 82kg/12.9 st). I should also suggest, that if you're inclined to go for an option that is around ยฃ100 cheaper, do yourself a favour and invest in this one. To finalise, I have a small beef with the inclusion of a "Scan to claim 10-year warranty" card that asks to point your mobile phone to a QR code and "Watch what happens". What happens is that this triggers a script that launched my phone's text app with a code to be sent to a phone number in Nicaragua (country code 505). Because I'm mindful of personal data protection concerns, I will not be claiming my 10-year warranty, but I'm indeed confident the chair will at least last me 6 years (as the one I've just replaced did).

very sturdy and comfortable chair made of good quality material.

Very comfortable and ergonomic
Great ergonomic chair specially for tall/big people. It comes with the tools required to assemble and took 20-30mins to put together. The seat cushion is quite firm and will take time to be softer by multiple usage. I use it to work from home.
