Great product, good quality, no surprises
As many others have mentioned, I needed some hardware cloth smaller than what was available at the local hardware stores where the smallest available was 1/4". I was happy to find the product here on Amazon, but some of the reviews made me question the quality of the product. Specifically, I was worried about some of the claims of uneven, wavy lines, etc. I inspected the product when it arrived and didn't find any of these defects. The hardware cloth is rolled up and secured by a separate piece of wire which is wound around the outside of the bundle to keep everything intact. I almost wonder if the other reviewers saw this wire and thought it was part of the hardware cloth? Bottom line: great product, no issue with quality in the item I received. Perfect for what I needed and I would order again.

Impossible to find locally
Being able to order this via Amazon has been a big help. The smallest Hardware Cloth I can buy locally is 1/4 inch and that is too large for what I wanted to build. I am a coffee grower and the 1/4 inch allows the hulled coffee to fall through as it is processed. This size allows the hull dust to be lost, yet retain the beans. Solved a big problem for me. The Hardware Cloth is well made and is easy to handle.

Good enough...
As some reviewers stated, the size of the grid/holes are not uniform but overall it is fine. Some a little smaller but I don’t think any were much larger than the 1/8”. For most applications I can’t imagine that is an issue. A bit expensive compared to the many 1/4” versions but hard to find this smaller 1/8” size so it was worth it to get the right size. Arrived on time and in good condition.

Great Quality. Lead warning is just standard California Prop 65 Warning.
Great quality. I am also using mine for bee hive venting as are many of you. Great size in that it is large enough to get some decent air flow through but small enough to keep out bees, wasps, and most other mid to large sized insects. For anyone worrying about the lead warning it is the standard California Proposition 65 Warning that they are putting up everywhere and on everything nowadays. Might have started out with good intentions but it’s gotten carried away. The product I received was high quality. The square pattern looks uniform throughout. Seems durable but cuts easily with a good pair of shears.

Really great for sifting soil to remove small bulbs of Star of Bethlehem and wild onion
I have great soil in my flower beds, but parts of it are infested with bulbs of Star of Bethlehem and wild onion which both have a main bulb with hundreds of little offset bulbs. This size hardware cloth with the 1/8” x 1/8” openings is perfect for catching even the smallest of those offsets and yet allowing soil to filter through. Just lay it on the ground, put shovels-ful of dirt on it and hit it with the hose. Voila! Expensive, but hard to find locally. It was worth the cost to me and is reusable.

Used for "Bird Block" holes in my new roof
I purchased this because of it's fine mesh, and for it's terrific price (I shopped around a LOT). There are tons of creepy crawly bugs and pests here, as well as 4-legged critters that I want to keep out of the insulation, and this hardware cloth is perfect. It is of a good thickness for durability, yet I could manipulate it as needed. I cut the roll into strips for easier handling while it was still tightly rolled with a circular saw, and the weave stayed tight at the edges. Arrived in good time, also. Great quality mesh. I recommend it highly.

Perfect for Beekeeping
A great wire mesh to provide ventilation for a hive cover when moving bees, or for screened bottom boards. Honeybees can't pass through it but allows excellent air flow. Most debris, and mites, can fall through it.

Generac Generator Mud Dauber Barrier
This 1/8" mesh hardware cloth was an economical way to add a wasp or mud dauber barrier to my $20k Generac. Before leaving my install, my Generac dealer advised to add this barrier. He told a tale of a Generac owner with a damaged generator due to mud dauber nests inside. As far as the quality and condition of the hardware cloth is concerned, other reviewers complained that the mesh is wavy. This is true, so users may want to fold and flatten the raw edges to get a straight line. This will stiffen the panel. Use a marker to lay out your cut piece. Use metal shears to cut and a wood block and hammer to fold edges. The cloth is hot galvanized, so you will get a few hardened drips of galvanize. Also the cloth is shipped in a tight roll but it easily flattens.
