The copy I received was PERSONALLY signed by the author! I didn't even ask for that but it was thrilling to see it, and upon reading the first chapter "Granny and the Lunar Eclipse," I am hooked and enchanted. I bought the book because in my herbal studies this book is quoted a lot from master herbalists. I thought I would be getting an herbal instructional, which it is that, but so much more! The anecdotal stories are the most fun part of this book. I am reading it with a nice cup of tea, as well as a highlighter.

Easy to understand. Good herbal recipes for making your own medicines for this day and time. This is second copy as I gave my first one away to help someone else. Also, I got the author’s autograph. What a pleasing surprise. Thank you.

A woven tapestry of this family's journey within the world of healing herbs, Making Plant Medicine had me hooked from page one. It is one of the few books on the subject of herbal medicine that I have read cover to cover. It is so much more than just the recipes and "how-to" books. Richo Cech has created a world of healing that goes supersedes just the surface of how herbal medicine works. He explains the essence of the herb, how it grows, the various parts, as he travels through his own experiences with plant medicine.This is a superb book, not only for the novice , but also the experienced herbalist. The book goes into great detail, explaining alcohol ratios for making tinctures and extracts, as well as ratios of the fresh or dried plant menstruum and which is the best to use per desired outcome. He also shares a brief synopsis of each plant. Each recipe I have tried has turned out to be perfection.I am eager to order Cech's entire series on herbs. I find his writing style easy to read and personality of his stories delightful..

good job richo. What I like about this book, is its not just the same old remedies over and over that everyone has heard about i.e. echinacea for colds etc.. You will most likely hear of at least a few herbs you never have- which says a lot coming from someone who has read a lot about herbs and I still had this experience. Also you learn of some herbs that had mor properties than you originally thought. Overal a great read. Richo keeps it pretty medicinal, but you realize he must really love these little guys to write about them the way he does still. PLEASE support his strickly medicinal farm, they ship everywhere many products that are super easy to grow, some even indoors. Just google strickly medicianl and it should take you to his website. GROW your meidicne, it does not take that long and saves you much money over ubying the product. His organic starter plants are cheaper than most ornamental flowers at nurseries.

The book was in perfect condition. What made this particularly special was the unexpected author’s signature in the front page. My copy of this book was lost in our home fire and this replacement gives me hope that there are better things to come. Thank you so much ♥️

A must have for any herbalist! Richo has provided a must have book that takes away all guess work when it comes to making tinctures, teas, syrups, salves and so much more! Not only does he give formulas and measurements to get herbal medicine but he also provides information on individual plants as well (see pic of table of contents).
