5/8" x 100 ft Heavy Duty Retractable Garden Hose Reel Black

Was so happy with the quality and functionality of this product- that this “always looking for a cheap bargain person” bought another one for opposite side of house!! Shocked I would pay this $ twice- but so worth it! Watched YouTube videos and this product performs like they said! The swivel part is awesome so that it doesn’t get “hung up”, loved the smoothness of retraction and how it feeds itself evenly so you don’t have to keep pulling it to “try again”. We got 100’+ hose length and I am so glad- was worried that it would be more challenging to pull and retract- but it’s easy. Wanted to get something to help as we age and the material seems quality and like it will take us into the next 20 years. The “eyelashes” help with some debris prevention from getting pulled into box- but won’t clean a muddy hose if you get what I mean. And the best part was that it could fit on a 4 x 4 post. We didn’t have to make anything bigger to accommodate.one was installed directly on the house. We got a color that would blend in with the house. And I am glad so it is not an ice order, because it is big! Big and mighty!

I bought this item over six months ago. I figured I would give it the test of time before reviewing it. I have used this hose every day, morning and evening, for the past six months. So far, there have been no issues with the reel mechanism, which was the most important part to me. The installation was simple, though I had to use two small pieces of 2x4 to mount the hose bracket, as the bracket itself is a true 4x4, whereas nominal lumber is only 3.5" x 3.5". Once installed, it is very sturdy, with no rattling or wobbling. I bought the 100-foot model, and there is good water pressure even when it is extended the full 100 feet.

Best hose ever! This was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! We mounted it on a 4x4, 8’ wooden post and added a paint hook and hanging plant because hose is in front of our garage. It works so well. I’m older with shoulder problems so the ease of pulling the hose out along with the swivel action of the holder has been great! I used to dread watering my flowers or really anything that involved dragging the hose out but now it’s not such a chore. And you just pop it off the mounting hook to take in for winter! Highly recommend!!!

Very disappointed as I excepted this water hose to be "Heavy Duty" as the product title says. I bought thinking it would last many seasons but the water hose now has a hole and it's leaking a lot of water. It's been less than 2 months and it has already failed. The reel works great, so I'll give it some stars for that. However the actual hose is not as heavy duty as we though it would be. UPDATE: I reached out to Hozereel and they sent out a replacement almost immedietly. It was all done via email so I pleasantly surprised when they replied the next day and kept me on the loop of what was being done. I am uping to 4 stars for excellect customer service.

This was every bit as advertised. Seems to be well made . Smooth operating on retraction. No issues so far.

So far I love this retractable hose reel. I dug the hole on Friday and installed the post on Saturday morning. The reel arrive Sunday and I had it installed a few hours later. I needed to added a leader hose and a quick release fitting because I need to move over the path between the water source and the hose reel. I added a hook in the back to hold the leader hose. It was easy to install. I installed a 4"x6" post because I was led to believe that the installation bracket would not install on a 4"x4" post (which is actually 3.5" x 3.5"). I placed the bracket onto the 4" side and the bracket CAN be installed there. The bracket and the post are the same width and the hole placement will secure the bracket to a 4" post. I found the instructions odd. It has note to install the bracket HORIZONTALLY but they mean VERTICALLY. The hose reel pulls out and retracts well. The sprayer offers a lot of good spray patterns. The only odd thing from what I'm used to is that the Off position is with the thumb switch full up; down is the ON position. I chose black as it fit my backyard better than would white. It also comes with a cover The handle will help when I move it to the garage when the weather turns cold. It also comes with a cover which I'm not sure I'll use, but it's a nice touch. I'm happy with this Hozereel 5/8" x 100 ft product.

We bought this product in Oct 2024. It has been used in the spring and summer of 2025 and part of spring and summer of 2026. The hose will not retract any longer and it has a major leak inside the belly of the product. I have reached out to the seller for repair advice today. I am hopeful we can get a repair solution. It is a rather pricey product with the amount of time we have had use of it. Not happy right now. I will update the review if I am able to receive help from the seller.

The 5/8" x 100 ft Heavy Duty Retractable Garden Hose Reel by HOZEREEL is, on the whole, a sturdy and dependable addition to any outdoor setup, especially once it’s mounted properly. The build feels robust, and the hose length offers excellent reach for larger yards or more complex watering needs. In day-to-day use it performs smoothly, with the retractable mechanism generally working well—though there are occasional moments when it stops just short of fully retracting. A quick tug usually resets the mechanism and allows it to wind back in without trouble. Remains clean. Maintains great pressure. Decent value. Despite that minor quirk, it remains a highly practical and well-constructed tool that makes outdoor maintenance noticeably easier and more organized.

I bought this hose reel for my 84 year old mother. Hoses are the Bain of her existence (her words). After a lot of research, I bought this hose & reel for her. It's light enough for her to move around from one side of her house to the other and thanks to the 180 degree swivel & 100 feet of hose, she can water all her plants all around her property. When she's done, a light tug on the hose and the reel winds in the hose effortlessly. It's stronger than those expandable hoses that leak or burst after a couple of seasons. She's very happy with this product and we both highly recommend it.

El producto funciona, tal cual, como lo describen en la publicación, me encantó que es muy fácil de instalarse, me es de gran utilidad y tiene una alta calidad en sus materiales, deseo que me dure por muchos años

I gifted this to my husband and he love it. Very well done and solid build design. Thank you .
