The SmallRig tripod has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear. Built from durable aluminum, it’s lightweight yet sturdy, making it extremely portable and easy to carry around for different shooting setups. Despite its compact size, it offers an impressive height that allows me to handle various situations without needing a heavier, bulkier tripod. One of the standout features is its versatility. The tripod head allows for quick camera attachment, and if you’re using a camera cage, you can easily switch between vertical and horizontal orientation in seconds. It also comes with multiple knobs to fine-tune adjustments, giving you precise control over positioning. The foam grips on the legs make it comfortable to handle, and they add an extra layer of stability when setting it up on different surfaces. Overall, it feels like a premium and thoughtfully designed tripod that adapts to almost any scenario. This is a perfect small tripod for on-the-go use. It is compact enough to toss in a bag without taking up much space, but it still feels sturdy and capable once set up. It is great for quick photos, video recording, desk setups, or travel when you do not want to carry a full-size tripod. What makes it stand out is that it has a lot going for it despite the smaller size. The build feels solid, the legs are stable, and the adjustable head makes it easy to get the angle you need. It does not feel like a flimsy mini tripod that is only useful in a pinch. Overall, this is a very practical tripod that balances portability and function really well. It is small, sturdy, and easy to recommend for anyone who needs a reliable compact setup.

Very happy with this tripod. Got it for hikes and light use with my Canon Rebel and it has served nicely. The compact nature is great and the included latch makes putting it on a bag is very nice. The swivel the latch is on can tend to be squeaky but some graphite powder solved it instantly. It can be heavy for long distance use but for a short day hike, it'll give you some rock steady shots. It's very easy to use and adjust the tightness of the joints. The legs are nice and stable when set and the main swivel mount lets you set your own resistance. The reversable main shaft is great as well for low shots and when you need to keep center of mass low. The main shaft is hollow as well which allows you to keep the hex key in it. The included level is very nice as well. For the price I am very happy with this tripod and have gotten some very nice shots with it. Definitely worth the price in my opinion.

This is a really nice piece of gear and just what I was looking for as a small travel tripod. Yes, I have a 3LeggedThing tripod which is much nicer but when I want to go light....well... its not the lightest. The VT-20 is small and doesn't take up much space but can hold my mirrorless camera and travel zoom lens without trouble. While I do like the Vt-20 there are some, um..., oddities, there are round knobs for most things except for the ball head which had a butterfly type twist knob. Why? imo, a round twist knob would be easier. Extending the legs was a learning experience. The first time I had to pull much harder than I expected and its more of a 1/4 twist-pull-1/4 twist-pull-etc etc instead of a twist and pull to full length. Once I move the legs in and out a few time the legs are much easer to adjust. You can lock the legs at any extension length and have a solid tripod. It does all the things it says it does. and the Arca-swiss plate from my Pgytech sling works perfectly with the VT-20. Even thought it not a full size tripod I think this is going to work very well for what I want and hold things still When I'm taking multiple exposures. Oh and the bubble level... its tiny and unless you are aware of how you mounting you camera you might just cover it up. I did the first time I put my camera on this tripod. Honestly I'm not sure how useful the bubble will be but better to have it than not, I guess.

This thing is super solid. I'm very pleased with the materials chosen for this tripod. It feels really stable and significant. I use this in a professional environment that requires weekly setup and strike. I mount a Tascam field recorder to it and the tripod never fails. IT JUST WORKS. Having something built tough enough to withstand the rigors of field-work is one less thing to worry about and that means a lot to someone who has to deal with audio engineering and A/V rigging on a regular basis. I've got more important things to worry about than a failing tripod, so having one built this well is a VERY welcome blessing. It's easy to use, easy to setup, easy to strike. It's compact when completely folded up, and it's light weight belies it's stable performance. Over-engineering is never a bad thing, and this tripod has that in spades. Highly recommended! Cheers!

The SmallRig VT-20 absolutely exceeded my expectations. Despite its compact size, this mini tripod feels incredibly solid and well-built. The aluminum construction gives it just the right weight for stability without being cumbersome. The 360° ball head is smooth and precise, allowing for easy angle adjustments when shooting both video and stills. I’ve used it with a DSLR and a compact camcorder—both stayed perfectly stable even when tilting the head at aggressive angles. The claimed 13lb weight capacity seems accurate; it holds serious gear with confidence. It also shines on a desk or table for overhead shots or livestreaming setups. The footprint is minimal, the legs extend quickly, and the locking mechanisms feel reliable. If you're looking for a portable but pro-level mini tripod, this one is a winner. Great for travel, desktop use, or even backup field work. Highly recommended!

Used with the Fujifilm X-T30 ii, in most every setting. This tripod is quite practical and versatile. It's easy to stow in a backpack, and I've also attached it to my jacket for convenience. While it is somewhat weighty, it remains manageable. A quick release plate is essential for this tripod, enhancing its functionality. Overall, I haven't encountered any significant issues with its performance, although I seldom extend the legs. The primary reason for my four-star rating is the stability of the screw hold in the center column, which could be improved. To address this, I’ve added a small carabiner around the neck of the tripod for added stability.

I absolutely love this tripod. Everything about it screams "made with quality materials". My only concern is the method (and material) of the extension part of the legs. Twist to unlock could present problems if you use near dust/sand as this could make the process of expanding and contracting the legs problematic, but I rarely extend them, so I'm not worried. The shorter the legs, the more stable your camera/gear is. It's very portable (compact), and my favorite use is in the kitchen to record videos of cooking or food prep. I really wish you could buy more "plates" so I can keep one on different cameras that I rarely use with other tripods. I ordered a second "ball head" with the same company, and the one on this tripod is superior; not sure why they weren't the same.

Es muy versátil para cualquier situación, no es estorboso ayuda mucho sin ser tan llamativo en una mesa, pero lo principal tus equipos estarán seguros. El sistema arca lo hace muy noble para poder integrarlos en tus cámaras, sera el mejor amigo de tus cámaras. Por el precio la verdad vale la pena. Cabe perfecto en tu bolsa de viaje.

Solid build quality and easy to carry. I’d recommend buying a quick-release head to go with it.
