Great value & easy to fold
First of all, *loved* the review by Candace & Christian. It's clever, funny, and right on point. Thanks for the laugh!I've purchased these UNFOLDED, unbleached filters for a couple of years. They fit our Chemex, filter the coffee, coffee tastes great, and the used filters are eco-friendly compostable. Cost-wise, I believe By Kitchen has the best pricing on them, certainly over the Chemex brand, folded or UNFOLDED (yes, Chemex has the same product - they just cost more).I fold these and put them in a left-over Chemex filter box for easy storage, but I would think any box that's about 6.5x6.5x4.5 would work well to hold and store these folders once folded.

Read The Listing Before Purchasing
As others have mentioned, these are just unfolded sheets of paper. I do not know if this paper is designed for coffee making purposes but I will say these seem thicker than the standard Chemex ones. There are no notes or directions included so you need to look at the Amazon listing for an instruction video. These will work fine for a Chemex type pot but if you have something different than a carafe this is not the product for you. One drawback is finding a place to store these so they don't bend or crumple. They are sent as a flat stack of 12-inch paper squares in a very flimsy cellophane wrapper. As this is probably a year's supply of filters for me, I would prefer folded ones in a standard cardboard box for the cabinet. I would personally not purchase these again.

Great, works like a filter should
Fold them, and they work great in my Chemex. I was worried they wouldn't be stiff enough, but the paper is great and coffee filters through fine.

The coffee filters are not folded. No problem.
At first I was a little disappointed that the coffee filters were not folded. But later I decided that it wasn’t a real big deal. I folded enough at one time to last for a month in a short amount of time. And then I realized that the filters were thinner than what I purchased in the past so they make the coffee in less than half the time.

READ/VIEW FULL DESCRIPTION & PHOTOS
These filters arrive as UNFOLDED sheets of paper. I should have read all the info, but I made the mistake of price hunting without full review. My error, and they seem to be decent/similar quality to others, but really? What company thinks that square sheets of paper should be marketed as coffee filters? I would have spent $2 more, rather than serve-yourself-and-save on these.

These do the job for me
These work just fine for me. Pretty good drawdown time, and they make a nice clean cup of coffee. I managed to master the 4-second bit of preschool origami required; one certainly wonders how the reviewers who complain about the complexity of that step manage to dress or feed themselves, much less brew a pourover. Overall I'm happy with these and would purchase them again.

Just sheets of paper
You will need to fold each paper in order to use them. Frustrating! Paper is a good quality but will not buy this again.

Keep it simple
I’m committed to my pour over coffee device, which requires very basic filters. I’m not doing cotton or steel because it’s wasteful. Folded paper fillers are fine, but not necessary. This clean brown paper is necessary and all I need.
