We have two German cars and both come with big supporting beans for the headrests so it's hard to find hooks in correct sizes. I'm so glad to get these as the opening of the hooks are large enough for the support beans, and they do position securely in place instead of dangling around. I had a couple of old ones which are long and flexible (showing a photo of the old and new side-by-side for comparison purpose), but the problems with the long flexible old hooks are that they don't hold plastic bags tightly and it creates a lot of noise during the ride.
