Nice drive case, seems cheap but works fine.
Worked perfect, slip a business card between the foam block and hard drive and the drive will slip right into the case. Use the correct spacer to secure the top and easy peasey.

Saved my Seagate 4TB 2.5" Backup Drive
Revived my dead Seagate portable backup drive. It was just the case that died. Pulled the drive and plugged it right into this case. It's a 2.5" 4TB drive, so I needed 15mm. This fit the bill and worked flawlessly.

Unicorn enclosure.
One of, if not the only enclosure I've found that will fit 2.5" 4TB HDDs and not require a separate power supply. The included sizing pads are a nice touch also, as is including the USB-A to USB-C adapter. Currently this item is shown out of stock but I hope that is temporary and not a discontinuation as I would absolutely buy more of these in the future.

Saved a 5 GB Seagate drive that was destined for the trash
I had a 5 gb Seagate one touch HD that seemed to “die” last year. I bought this SATA case and the drive works perfectly. It has to have been the SATA to USB part that went bad because it works great now.

Works with 15 mm high drives just fine
Got to give this a 5 star review as it's the only 2.5" enclosure in existence that fits 15 mm high drives. I used it on a 5 Gb Seagate drive I removed from the OEM enclosure because it used the most awful of any USB connector ever developed - USB 3.0 Micro-B. Like others have said, with the 15 mm drives it's helpful to remove the foam cushion and push it back into place after the drive is inserted. I didn't use the supplied cables, but did use a know high quality cable (C to C). It powered the drive without issue and mounted on my PC.

Perfect
Arrived today... I bought it to replace an enclosure on an external HDD I had that stopped working, turned out it was the control unit inside the enclosure, the drive itself was fine but was thicker than most at 15cm and wouldn't fit in any enclosure I could find where I live. Fits perfectly in this one, installation was super easy, and above all, it works, saved me a ton of money if I had to buy a whole new drive just for the enclosure, highly recommended.

Works great for drives with non standard thickness
Nice enclosure. It is plastic so it doesn't feel sturdy. It co.es with a variety of rubber inserts to take up space so no stress is put on the sata connections and it doesn't rattle.

A sturdy, workable HD enclosure
This is a good enclosure that comes with a short USB-A to USB-C cord and a USB-A to C adapter. There are also 4 thicknesses of black closed-cell foam pads that will act as a bumper, so whatever thickness of your HD will be somewhat protected from bouncing around in your bag. A couple of things--when inserting the HD it might be a tight fit due to a rubber bumper inside the larger, lower portion of the enclosure. This bumper presses the HD tight against the drive connector but it might be too tight for you to get the drive in without possible damaging the connector. Remove it, insert and make sure your HD is seated, then place the foam rubber bumper back where it came from. This insures your HD will not loosen from its connecting point. Also, what looks like tiny vent holes in photos of this HD enclose are NOT vent holes but indentations that LOOK LIKE vent holes. The real vent holes are along both sides of the bottom portion of the case. The tiny holes are just decoration.
