Growing The Big One

Love this movie 🍿

I thought it was a really cute silly funny little movie. My favorite part was about the coyotes. The only negative thing I found was that the big pumpkins looked extreemly fake I think they could have done a much better job on them than that. When it gets to the dramatic moment of weighing huge pumpkins which are supposedly over 1,000 lbs instead of thinking wow I wonder how heavy that thing is?! Instead I kept thinking they look like they are made from a lightweight foam/cardboardish substance and probably hollow. And I was wondering how much does that big of a piece of hollow foam cardboard actually weigh?... and I bet I could pick it up if it had a handle on it and throw it! Kind of ruined the moment! One was just a great big but very shriveledpeanut shaped one that was a putrid pale sickly weird color and didn't look like pumpkin at all and like it must have deflated after they cut it off of the vine but was also so ugly it was funny!

Kavan Smith is one of my favorite Hallmark leading men. His chemistry with Shannon Doherty was strong and very natural. You know they must have had fun on the set making this movie. There are many laugh-out-loud moments and a happy ending that will leave you smiling. Definitely a movie I will watch several times over.

The dvd was great quality. This one of the funniest wholesome fall season movie’s you can watch the story line is very entertaining

This is a delightful film about growing pumpkins for a contest and confusing a love poem to be directions on how to grow the largest one. One of Shannon D.'s better performances and she is perfect in the role.

Wonderful movie for the holiday season. Was extremely excited to find it on DVD.

For one who typically writes scathing reviews, this movie exceeded expectations. It was a good fun family movie. We found some nuances in the plot that were very creative which we don't want to give away. Thought the leading lady did a good job. Predictable Hallmark, but still, decent. We often give ratings three or below, but this one was clean and decent.

Great film hope to buy from you again

I had started watching this movie at a friends house and wanted to see how it ended. Very good acting and enjoyed it.

I bought this movie because most of the reviews gave it 5 stars. For me, it merits just 3. I won't go into the plot. You can read that in the amazon product description. Aside from one glitch, the storyline was interesting (even if predictable), but I found that the people involved lacked depth. I especially believe the main characters, Emma and Seth had little, if any "chemistry" happening. The acting wasn't particularly bad, but it wasn't good either. To me, the movie was just rather ho-hum.However, if you're looking for a movie that the whole family can watch, and you can ignore the mild profanity and low-cleavage, then you probably would find this somewhat entertaining.
