Review: Good axe, great handle. - I'm happy with the axe. I first used it straight out of the packaging. The axe wasn't super sharp, but not dull either. It took off small branches from the central Texas Cedars and peeled the bark well as shown in the video. I like the handle. The wood is very solid, and the bend or notch in the middle of the handle is great for gripping halfway up and controlling the tool. That mid-grip makes it very easy to use. It's sharpening up well using the block provided. All in all, it's a good tool and value for the price.

Haven't had this out camping yet but I've been using it around the house to clear some brush and to split some smaller wood for my smoker. Out of the box it's already very sharp and it has a nice weight and balance.
