I LOVE it!!!!!! I sleep on a queen/full size futon and this totally made it into a luxurious sleep and I have been sleeping so much better!!!! This was one of my best buys I have made in a long time. I really wanted something that would make our sleeping more comfortable, for I truly believe if you are going to splurge on anything it should be bedding because sleep is important. This was much more a STEAL than a splurge. I do not have much money so I did a lot of searching for the best price, most luxury/comfort before settling on this one and I am so happy I did, I just had to write it a wonderful review. Anyone that comes to my house, I tell them they have to try our featherbed and everyone loves it. The only downside to this product is that it does have to be fluffed. I sleep in the bed with my six year old and find that about every 3 days I have to fluff it. I take each end and shake so feathers go towards the middle. This makes it like brand new. I also noticed when I opened package it had a recomendation/suggestion to leave it out for 24 hours before putting on bed. We did NOT do this, and not sure if we are missing anything by not doing that for it seems great. The only other thing I can think of is at first and especially after fluffing the bed would be buldging here and there, and overall uneven looking. My OCD wanting everything looking straight and perfect this did a bit of nidpicking at however I've noticed over time its evened (straightened) itself out. I speculate this may of been why we were to leave it out after opening and it unraveling, because I think a certain consistency of air is needed in there for the feathers. I've had this for many months and sleeping so well, highly recommend this product!!!Lastly, I would recommend some type of bed protector since it says on tag dry cleaner only. I've had it for many months and thank God no accidents, so that will be my next purchase, although my child is six and potty trained, you never know when an accident may happen and I sure don't want to make a trip to the dry cleaners unless I got to, but I sure will for this if an accident happens. I can't express how much I love this featherbed!!

We've owned this feather bed in California King size for 2 1/2 years now, and I have to be honest, coming out to Amazon to buy a new one, at firstI looked around for other options. It does lose feathers--although almost exclusively from the back side, so I've never been poked while trying to sleep. It does bunch up, going flatter where we sleep and creating a mound in between us. I don't fluff it more than once a week, and I don't think it would be better if I did. But the bottom line is that it is super comfortable. I've been sleeping without it for a few weeks now just to see what the difference would be (I have a very nice memory foam mattress and a pillowtop mattress pad) and I definitely miss my feathers! Based on my experience with this pad, I wouldn't order a feather topper that was less than 5 inches, because this one compresses down to significantly less than that, and I wouldn't order one without the additional down top, because the feathers come out the bottom, but not the top, so with what is available here and at other places, I am not hesitating to repurchase this feather bed. In fact, the reason that I am buying a new one is because we put the feather topper on the mattress that we use in our theater room and it's so comfortable that we don't want to take it back off!

I loved this feather bed topper. It did not have straps or anything to attach to the mattress but it's quite heavy so even though it sits on top of the bed, it stayed in place. However, I found that (with a firmer mattress) it needed a foam pad underneath if you really want a soft, cloud like bed. When I placed it on top of a firm mattress without the foam,it flattened out pretty quickly and didn't help soften the bed at all.Also, it's quite warm. We wound up removing it from the bed because my boyfriend couldn't sleep with the extra heat. He said it felt like he was sleeping on top of a thick blanket. So if you run hot, this may not be for you. I really liked it, but he didn't.Finally, as other commenters have mentioned, when it arrived it had a strong scent. Like damp birds.. I just let it air out for a couple days, fluffed it (oh by the way you'll have to fluff this around once a week to keep it soft when you use it), and put it inside a feather bed protector and then I did not notice the smell anymore.All in all, if you're looking for a warm, super soft cloud like experience- this should be great! I'd recommend it.

I bought this because I have severe joint pain, at night mostly, when I try to sleep. Looked at quite a few feather "Beds", This um feather topper/mattress...Hands down well worth the price and the wait. It is 5" and maybe more. Follow the instructions and allow it to fluff up for a day. In the morn when you arise....leave your blankets off and give it a good shake to fluff the feathers back up and let them settle and puff up. I put my covers at the foot then put them on when I go to bed. Yes well worth it. I put 4 stars on the stretch cause they don't stretch..They rise! Love this! Love this! Love this! Thank you.

Not 5” but no bad smell and was very comfortable with my added alternative down on top. I do think it would be pretty comfortable without the added topper on it, but I was worried about the possibility of feathers poking me when I sleep. I had a good night’s sleep tho 🙂I do think it will need daily fluffing, but if you are like me and make your bed daily then it shouldn’t be a problem to make that part of your daily routine.

I had bought this product because I have hated my new mattress since I got is just a little over 2 years ago. I started waking up with aches and pains from my dumb mattress, so thought I would try a feather mattress cover to make my bed softer. So far I love it!! I fluff it every day when I make my bed and shake it out when I wash my sheets. It fluffs right up and gives me the added comfort I was looking for.
