Q: How much Chico pan do I need to cover a double barrel cake with 7” and 11” tiers?

It depends on what size container you get. My best guess would be at least 8- 1lb containers for the cakes you want to cover, maybe more or less depending on how thick you roll it out. However, If it was me I would probably buy the 10lb container in white or ivory because I can always color the white whatever color I need using powdered food coloring. It never hurts to have more than you need because if you don’t have enough I can’t finish my cakes, but if there is any left over I can use it on another project. Most of the time I prefer to make my own modeling chocolate, it’s very easy. You can either melt some candy melts or real chocolate and add a little corn syrup. There are several recipes on YouTube or other recipes sites on the internet. I hope my info helps. Good luck with your cakes, Dee 😁👍

Yes, works just like regular fondant. I’ll add a review and a picture of my airbrushed cake below.

Yes if you are doing just a base layer to cover.

Q: Does this work like modeling chocolate?

It does not work like modeling chocolate or at least the batch I just bought a week ago. Very disappointing and I can not get a refund.
