If could rate this book 6 stars. I would! I was fortunate enough to pass my exam on the first try and I am adamant that this book was the major key in that achievement. At first, I felt that the questions in the book were extremely difficult. I went through the book a second time and realized that taking my time and understanding the way that the questions were answered was a great help. with such in-depth questions that make you think and the fact that there are 160 of them, I believe that this book gave me huge exposure to most the resources provided by NCEES to where I was mostly prepared for anything they could throw at me. the best way I could describe this book in comparison to the exam is that it prepares you for a marathon when you’re only going to run a 5K. I would recommend this book to any future examinees. I know a lot of people opt for the thousand dollar courses, but I felt that with enough dedication and effort I could get it done for much less and I can say confidently that without this book I could not have done it. 10 out of 10.

This book is excellently written, accurate, detailed, thorough and clear. While using this book I have confidence that if I'm struggling to understand something, it's not because the book is lacking. I have not had this experience with other study materials. The NCEES practice exam, for example, has it's errata updated every so often and that leaves me questioning the accuracy of the material as I'm working. I am only about 20% through this book but I feel confident that I'm preparing properly for this exam as everything is problem based in this book. Don't be fooled to think that it's just another book of problems and solutions. These solutions are described far more clearly than I've seen in other problems and solutions. When you see the map of problems and realize the thought that went into this book, you'll discover that the author has aimed to leave no stone unturned here.

This was invaluable when studying for the PE Civil Transportation exam! It reflects the updated testing standards. It is broken into 5 sections and has very clear explanations of the solutions. I loved that problems were complex and covered multiple learning points within one question. I worked through all of the questions and passed first time! (Note I have 6 years of experience and actively work in transportation and traffic design).

I used this product along with other study materials to study for my 2nd attempt on the PE Exam. I will say that a lot of the problems are more difficult than actual exam problems but if you can understand the concepts it helps a lot on the exam. This book is definitely one of the reasons I passed my PE exam. It’s perfect for the project management section. Every question I was asked in project management I was able to get through with ease because of this book. I feel like I got a perfect score on that section. The book also forces you to use almost every section of the manual, which helps a lot.

Very difficult problems but laid out in a way that really helps you understand the concepts and references for preparation for the Civil PE Transportation. It is not so much a practice exam as it is a difficult problem set designed to get you familiar with the references in depth. It is good enough that it could be used in lieu of a traditional review course. A big part of my prep that helped me pass. Would highly recommend.

Passed the PE primarily using this book and the NCEES practice exam.These practice problems are much more difficult and lengthy than those on the actual exam, but cover the same topics. Some of the problems navigate multiple topics. If you are capable of solving these practice problems and fully understand the concepts related to them, you will be pretty well prepared to succeed on the exam.

What I like most about this book is the attention to detail and the referencing to all codes to the page number, sometimes to the paragraph number. I would definitely recommend this book to serious exam taker without a doubt.
