Very pretty, soft/padded, and holds up GREAT after machine washings. However, the band is too large for (normal) sized head, and constantly slips off- so not effective for sleeping overnight. Save it for cat naps or plane rides

I thought sleep masks were for Hollywood stars or wannabes. I thought of them as a pretension, and it never occurred to me they are actually a practical sleep aid. After getting a couple of these Samadhaan silk masks, just out of curiosity, I now slip one over my eyes every night before laying down to sleep.You may not realize the little things that keep you awake or even wake you from a sound sleep. Things like the light from your clock. Or the light from the hallway that you keep on at night so you can find the bathroom at 3AM. Or the light from the streetlamps, or even the moon. And then of course, there's the light from the sun when it comes up - when you could sleep another 30-60 minutes if it wasn't so bright.I never thought light bothered me at all during the night. It is never completely dark in my room. After being enclosed in total darkness with my sleep mask I realize how much I actually was tuned in to the distraction and attraction of the light sources before this. I can honestly say, I get a longer and deeper night's sleep with a mask. It is lightweight and comfortable, and it closes me into a world conductive to falling to sleep, or falling back to sleep if I wake up, and sleeping deeply.

My bedroom window faces east, so it gets too bright in the mornings even with my curtains closed. I like to sleep in on weekends plus I wanted a silk eye mask, because it is supposed to help prevent wrinkles.The silk is nice and soft, and feels cooling. The color and print is bright and not blurry. It feels great on my skin. It doesn’t block out 100% of the light, but just enough so I can get a few extra hours of sleep in the morning. I think this is a great deal for a silk eye mask and I’m very happy with it.

This sleep mask came packaged very nicely in a presentation box. The mask was in a plastic wrap inside the box with a nice tag on it. It would be a nice gift if you were making up a spa gift box or something of that nature. The mask is made of a very soft, silky material that feels very nice against your skin. It doesn't block out 100% of the light like some other masks do, but it does block out most light. The only problem I had with it was it did tend to slip some during the night when I tossed and turned too much. I think this was because of the silky material. It would be really good in a situation like on a plane, or in a car or at the spa where you weren't moving too much. Overall it's a very nice, pretty mask.
