Works perfectly!
Was a bit cautious of buying it because of the reviews but heard great reviews everywhere else! So took the leap and bought it. Works perfectly as specified, giving me a higher resolution on my two screens.

Very poor
Packaging of this product was great, but that's where the positives ends... This product simply did not work! I had to download the manual when troubleshooting and it told me to check that the LED was on when powered up... there's not even LED on the product! Also, paid £90 and the build quality is very poor... made of a very cheap looking lightweight plastic. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Will be returned.

Terrible and works so inconsistently.
Honestly on HD screens I’m getting resolution intermittently from the noughties.I’ll have to buy another after wasting my money on this!

Use a decent USB power source + cables!
Am using one of these for my laptop, with a 1.5m male-female display port extension cable, then dp to hdmi conversion cables on the two outputs, and everything is flawless...But only after plugging the USB plug into a dedicated 5-port hub, and replacing my previous DP extension with a better one.So, if you're having issues - check the power and your cables first. This box (and the slightly cheaper CSV-5200) does work! Certainly works a lot better than the StarTech 3-way hub I was using before, which kept losing sync.

It does work but with a few issues.
Had a few issues of the primary screen not switching on all the time at computer power up (I am using it for a desktop computer not a laptop) due to the USB power connecter (it's not a mains power connecter) but it does work.

It would not work to split Display link output from ...
It would not work to split Display link output from ASUSZ170 Motherbo=ard to x2 Dell 21" Monitors. Thus I returned it for a refund

Don't bother, buy the two port Startech MST hub instead
I gave this product a punt from a local shop because it's significantly cheaper than the Startech two port Displayport 1.2 hub, and might stand a chance of working. Unfortunately it does not.I tried connected to a Samsung S60UA Displayport out port then with active Displayport to HDMI adapters to connect two old monitors, and directly out of a Vega 56. It's possible to get one device working, but not two. I tried powering the micro USB via the monitor port and separate power supplies with no difference. The Startech product, on the other hand, worked first time with the S60UA (it then had issues with the Vega 56, but only under Windows - FreeBSD worked fine, so that was a Radeon driver issue rather than hardware).I see Club3D now have the CSV-7200 Displayport 1.4 MST hub available, which hopefully will work better, but whilst modern graphics cards tend to output Displayport 1.4, the MST out port in various monitors is often Displayport 1.2 so if you're looking at chaining monitors rather than driving directly from your graphics card, you may wish to check out the Startech option.
