The Usborne Reading Collection for Confident Readers [Paperback] [Jan 01, 2016] Not known

My daughter is almost 6, and the first book she read is the little princess. She was immediately drawn by the book and so moved by the story! I read it my own and it was really well written story!

I really love these books they are short, great pictures and easy for my eight-year-old to read but they also have that spin on her being able to learn more complicating words from these books at the same time she is able to get a history lesson of some of the authors the books are about I could not have asked for a better collection!

Great pictures help with understanding the text. The chosen topics relatively well represent the plots of the original texts. Simple vocabulary. Low price.

It is a must have classic collection of books for kids

Less expensive than buying the set in stores. They are wonderful books.

I have a couple of these Usborne sets and I love how they make some of the classics accessible to younger readers. Illustrations are great and on very page. Very good value when you factor in the amount of books for the money. A small gripe is that depending on the combination of sets you buy you end up with duplicate versions of the same books but I just gift those to family.Others have complained that some of the content is inappropriate, depending on the age of the reader you would want to have a look at the books first and remove some of them if you fell they are not ready for some of the themes or illustrations (deaths etc).

Interesting subjects, nice to read, my son (8 years old) loved each of them. I read them all too. It is also very cheap compared to buying one by one.

Wonderful must get collection to get your 7 year olds & above to start reading independently. My 7 year old just can't leave it

I remember these books from when I was young, and I am very glad they're still available - now in a smaller format but excellent value for money. There is quite a range of topics covered by the books so I'd advise to check which ones you provide for younger children, but overall I can't rate this highly enough!
