Has anyone used the 3 pack with fine mesh trays for small seeds like broccoli?

Someone suggested paper towel to prevent small seeds from falling through. I used toilet paper (4 sheets). One ply, no fragrance. Use spray bottle, then sprinkle seeds. Worked perfectly. Seed roots went right through. No need for dirt or other media.

how many seeds do i put in a container?

You can fit a lot seeds, but you'll never eat that many spouts at a time, maybe a 1/4 cup. Soak them first for 12 - 24 hours.

What is the smallest seed size this will work for? Can I sprout barley wheat for my chickens?

Not sure what size a barley wheat seed is. I can tell you if it's about the same size as wheat grass seeds this will work fine. Alfalfa sprout seeds will go through the holes, they are tiny. Hope this helps!

Really rood option for sprouts.

Very nice and sturdy trays. They are bigger than I expected and sprout the grains beautifully. Nice micro greens and sprouts. Very easy to clean . Wish I had bought them before. Also make the cleaning of sprouts easy and so they don’t smell at all.
