Surprisingly good when plugged into power (USB or wall)
This sound machine is light as a feather, so I was expecting the worst. I put in some batteries and the sound didn't seem to be working correctly, but my batteries may have been a bit weak. After plugging in the USB cord and powering the machine that way, it seems to work perfectly! These are sounds you generally "listen" to at a very low volume, and these actually sound very good at low volume! I was surprised by the sound quality, figuring a light box means a light, weak speaker. But it's fine for what it needs to do. The sound bytes appear to be very good quality, and I have not yet detected any noticeable looping... though clearly that must happen. Even the "ocean" sound does not appear to have a detectable loop. The sounds also, amazingly, do not have much directionality. Meaning, for example, that the "summer night" cricket sound really does sound like it's just coming from everywhere, and not only from the speaker. Very nice. The controls are a low point, having very plastic-y click-y buttons. But otherwise, this is surprisingly good for the price!

Very basic white noise machine
This is the most straightforward white noise machine I’ve encountered — 3 ways of powering it: AC, USB or batteries. All the controls are on the top of the machine — 10 different white noise sounds, no lullabies, just 9 nature sounds & 1 white noise. It is easy to switch between the sounds. This machine can be turned up very loud. 3 timer settings. A very basic machine, no bells or whistles, you can lose the instructions, it’s that basic. Larger than most white noise machines I’ve seen but it does the job.

Easy to use, lightweight & sounds good!
I recently moved into a high-rise apt. building & to say the neighbors are a little noisy would be an understatement. So I thought it was time to try a sound machine at bedtime. This little machine is super easy to use! There are 3 ways to power it up, using 3 AA batteries, using the adapter it comes with & plugging it into the wall or plugging it into a USB port (computer, etc.) I tested it by plugging it into the wall & it sounded great! I plan to use it with batteries, so I hope it will sound just as good.It is light as a feather. Weighs practically nothing, so it's ideal for traveling. There are 10 sounds which all sounded clear. I would only use a few for sleeping. I might use the others for when I'm reading & still need to distract from outside noise. For sleeping I only like the water sounds. The rain is the most soothing to me, then the brook, ocean & waterfall. I don't like any of the bird sounds as they are all too high-pitched and sound stressful to me. Of course the white noise sounds like static & as another reviewer said, the heartbeat is just creepy! Can't imagine falling asleep to that! But there are enough sounds on here that I like to keep me happy! The buttons sound a little 'clicky' but they all work. As far as not having bells & whistles, this is all I need in a sound machine. I don't need anything more modern or more advanced, so I am pleased with it.

Pretty good, but overpriced.
I sometimes have difficulty sleeping, and having a little background noise helps get me to conk out. I occasionally use my tablet or phone for this, but I don't like falling asleep and leaving them on. I always try to shut down my devices at night. I thought I'd give this little box a shot. The box works pretty well. The quality is decent. The ten different sound options are pretty nice. I particularly like the rain and ocean sounds. The heart beat one is a little creepy. The volume is okay for what it needs to do. I doubt you'd want this thing blasting if your goal is to fall asleep. It's a pretty basic unit, and at $27.99, I definitely think it's overpriced.

Easy to use
Maybe it's just me however, half the sounds were either tinny or whiny. More annoying than something I could sleep to. The other sounds like the babbling brook were soothing and so I took off 1 star for only having 4 sounds that I could sleep to. Machine is easy to use and comes with a USB and an ac cord so you can plug it into the wall or into your computer.

Decent, but kind of poor speaker quality
This feels like a white noise machine from decades ago. This is 2023. I expect a slightly better sound quality today’s technology. But it does as the label says. 10 options, several of them worth using. I like the timer option and the buttons are large enough that it’d probably be fairly usable even for someone with mobility issues.

Compact sound machine, great for traveling!
The media could not be loaded. This sound machine has a large variety of different sounds like rain, waterfall and just white noise. All the sounds are very soothing. You can adjust the volume. You can add batteries to take this in the go or it also comes with the power cord to plug it in. It is nice and lightweight which makes it great for traveling. I love to have this in hotels so I don’t have to heat the loud guests and all the doors slamming. Definitely recommend!

Also operates on batteries
The media could not be loaded. This sound machine offers 10 different sounds along with timer options. I like how straightforward and easy it is to use. The sound options are nice and the volume it offers is very quiet to very loud. My favorite sound is the thunder. Sometimes, one of the buttons sticks but eventually works. It comes with a power cord that is equipped to plug into a wall or a port. At first, I didn’t notice that it also takes batteries on the bottom but was pleased to discover. This will go with me while I travel. It’s very light and compact.
