Interactive Play Guide

I could set up my own library of dog books but this one exceeds them all. and is well worth the little bit more in price. I purchased this very recently and after a few pages of bedtime reading, the following morning, I put Craig's advice into practice and I cannot believe the difference already. I have a 4 year old Labrador who has never really wanted to retrieve or play for any length of time. She is now following me around and looks for her new tug toy to play with me. There is much more to read and learn and we both cannot wait to play some more. Thank you Craig.

Easy to understand and makes understanding play fun and simple.

Its an interesting book but not ground breaking. It seems to take the single principle of interactive play and then spread it over multiple chapters and a whole book when i suspect in reality it could have been dealt with - even in quite some detail - in a pamphlet....Its disappointing as I suspect that Craig Ogilvie has a lot of interesting and useful information to impart on us enthusiast dog trainers! Its not in this book though.

I was so disappointed with this book I returned it and got a refund . It’s massively overpriced for a start . For a £20 book I’d expect something bigger . Although it is nicely presented with lots of glossy pictures. Maybe my expectations were misjudged but I was hoping for a variety of learning games but all there seems to be included is tug! From different angles and speed. I’m training to be a dog training instructor so maybe this book is aimed at the average pet owner rather than more experienced pet owners . I was disappointed as Craig has a brilliant reputation and this wouldn’t put me off buying any of his workshops.

This book is written to inspire the average pet owner, but can also be used by professionals as well. It tells you how to work towards play with your dog as an end itself, not just a two minute tug. Well written, with great detail. I look forward to attending one of Craig’s workshops.

Fast dispatch not sure how helpful it is as it is a gift 4 someone else

Craig is an inspirational trainer and truly loves dogs. This book is really easy to understand and follow. Not all dogs are natural tuggers as I have discovered. Craig helps you understand your dogs body language so you can react appropriately to gain the most out of your relationship. His natural enthusiasm is carried on into this book and so passed on to the reader. If you’re lucky enough to get onto one of his workshops do or spectate as I did. Well worth buying!

This book is an easy read although it does explain carefully what you need to do and why you need to do it.
