Review: Mag Lite replacement - Perfect fit and brighter than expected
Review: WORKS! - No, this isn't as bright as some of the "tactual" LED flashlights that are sold, but it has resurrected my favorite old Maglight. Some have complained about the "halo" or doughnut effect of the light and when I try to spread the light that does happen... so I just don't try to go wide beam. I can't speak to longevity or energy consumption as I have only used the bulb for a couple of days, but as for the light it puts out, it is a great improvement. The standard bulb sends out a pale yellow light that could reach a large tree about 60' behind our house, but you couldn't make out much detail. The "LudoPam High Power LED Upgrade Bulb 3W DC 4-12V" in my 3 cell Maglight sends out a white light that not only shows the tree in great detail, but also can illuminate the little meadow and even reach the top of the 100' tall tree. This helps me see if there are any predators around before I turn my Chihuahua loose to do her business.

**Q: It says that its for 3-6 cell maglites.I thought that for example a 4cell would be a nominal 6 volts and a 6cell would be 9volts. why is this 12volts?**
A: The device is described as supporting 4 to 12 volts.  I use it in a 4-cell maglite and it works great.

A: Yes,it work for 3-6 cell flashlights bulb

A: I have a 4 D batteries...it’s much brighter than the original bulb. Colors are much more true.

**Q: How do I get it to fit into my retaining ring for my Maglite. I can't fit the bulb through the ring.**
A: Which way are you putting the bulb in? Also is this the right bulb. What type of maglight? These do not fit the mini's. Only the three and two D cell size.. Disassemble your maglight and note how the original bulb is installed. Not sure what your issue is as I have three of these installed on my three maglights for work and they are great..

No, this isn't as bright as some of the "tactual" LED flashlights that are sold, but it has resurrected my favorite old Maglight. Some have complained about the "halo" or doughnut effect of the light and when I try to spread the light that does happen... so I just don't try to go wide beam. I can't speak to longevity or energy consumption as I have only used the bulb for a couple of days, but as for the light it puts out, it is a great improvement. The standard bulb sends out a pale yellow light that could reach a large tree about 60' behind our house, but you couldn't make out much detail. The "LudoPam High Power LED Upgrade Bulb 3W DC 4-12V" in my 3 cell Maglight sends out a white light that not only shows the tree in great detail, but also can illuminate the little meadow and even reach the top of the 100' tall tree. This helps me see if there are any predators around before I turn my Chihuahua loose to do her business.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good bulb replacement for small Maglite

This bulb fit right in my old Maglite flashlight. This LED is far better than the original bulb and much brighter. You must consider that with only 2 batteries, this restricts the bulb to 3 volts. The result is more light and whiter light, but no where near the output of the more powerful flashlights with 3 batteries and 4.5 volts to drive the bigger LED bulb. This is the reason why you see the different bulbs advertised with the cell numbers highlighted and why people complain about expecting brighter light output. This bulb is still so much better than the original, it is worth every penny to upgrade.
