Great comfortable option for mild conditions
If you’re looking for a more comfortable compression sock, I definitely recommend these. I wore these for two 16 hour flights and they helped while still being comfortable and breathable in comparison to traditional compression socks. They were not difficult to put on or take off - which I did in my seat without huffing and puffing and struggling. The socks were comfortable to wear, a snug fit but not super tight. Tightest at ankles and gradually loosened up calves. The band at top did not dig into skin or behave like a tourniquet. They’re cute too. They are also petite friendly. All this being said- I do not have skinny calves- 15” circumference. Ankles are 8” circumference and length from heel to back of knee where it bends is slightly more than 15”. They fit nicely below knee and bend of knee. I had very minimal swelling along front of calves but no swelling on ankles or feet. Normally I’d have substantial swelling from toes to knee- the kind where your ankle bones disappear and when pressed against- Indention is significant. If you need heavy duty compression socks then I’d look at other options. But these were great and definitely an option for daily wear for those with more mild conditions.

Great product that actually works
The compression socks wore perfectly. My cardiologist would only allow me to fly anywhere when wearing compression socks. I remembered using the older versions of compression socks. These were a game changer. They looked great and fit very well.

REDUCES SWELLING WHILE FEELING VERY COMFORTABLE AND MUCH MORE!
I purchased these socks for my wife Linda and below is her review:My experience with these socks has been truly exceptional.I never expected to find such perfect compression socks.I got size small/med which fits me perfectly(my shoe size is 7 to 7 1/2, my calf measures 13-1/2 inHeight: 5 ft 3 in - Weight 105 lbs )The product description is 100% accurate in every way: It isabsolutely true that you “FEEL INSTANTLY ENERGIZED”.So far I have purchased 2 pair but will definitely order more.Pros:1. Cotton fabric very pleasant to the touch2. Very attractive design & colors3. Look great on legs4. Toe space is quite ample & very comfortable5. Foot padding on arches/soles very soothing & relaxing6. No binding anywhere, especially comfortable at top under knee7. Feet & legs feel totally comfortable & relaxed all day long8. My feet & ankles usually swell during the day butAFTER WEARING THESE SOCKS A FULLDAY, THERE IS NO ANKLE/FOOT SWELLING WHEN I TAKE THEM OFF.I also find that these socks reduce swelling of varicose veins in legs.9. Washing & Drying instructions which appear under Product Descriptionon Amazon site are very clear and important to follow carefully. I wash my socksby hand in lukewarm water, standard gentle detergent - no additives, rinse thoroughlyin cold water and hang out loosely to air dry (no dryers).Cons: NONE

My first dr.-ordered pair of compression socks
23-08-02:Even though I no longer buy these socks because of the change in sizing, I still wanted to make a comment. I've seen reviews talking about how expensive these are. With quite a bit of experience with compression socks now, I can tell you that these ARE NOT expensive for compression socks, especially given their very high quality. Good quality compression socks run between $20.00 and $50.00. My current compression socks, the ones that were the best replacement for Sockslane, currently cost $28 to $32 a pair. That's all. I loved these so much while the worked for me, wanted people to realize you most definitely are getting a good deal price-wise with Sockslane.UPDATE 12-19-2021:I am now able to assess durability - for me, washing them per instructions and after every wear, they last an average of 55 wearings before losing compression. That seems a little short, as I believe the norm is replacing at three to six months. I no longer purchase the socks because the sizing changed and they no longer fit me, but loved them otherwise.UPDATE 01-16-2021:I promised I'd post about durability when I'd been wearing these long enough, so here goes - I get about 52 wearings out of these socks; compression lasts (all are still going strong on that front), but then begin to get holes in the toes. Research appears to indicate that is about average or maybe slightly below average for compression socks. The sizing has changed (Sockslane does not agree, but small to medium no longer fits me, and my photos show the newer socks to be longer and larger in circumference), which is very aggravating as these are still the only socks I've found doable. Soooooo, I've taught myself to darn in order that I may continue to wear my older Sockslane until the compression gives out. I'm still periodically ordering a pair in hopes that the sizing returns to the old version.UPDATE 05-17-2019:I guess I must like these. I've now ordered five times in just slightly over a month and have 15 pair. Just waiting to see how durable before giving that last star.ORIGINAL POSTI accidentally got some compression socks about 45 years ago that hurt so bad they put me in tears, so was scared when doctor said I needed compression socks. A lot (not all) of that is gone now with the SocksLane socks.PROS:- These are VERY well made, beautiful seaming at the toe that is the flattest I have ever seen and cannot be felt at all.- Unlike a few other reviews, I could feel compression along the entire length of the sock, not simply the ankle. I only wish I could not feel the compression on my poor toes when standing (no problem when sitting or walking, but if I have to stand for an extended time - hours - ouch).- the cuffing(?) at the top is extremely flat and smooth and does not cut into my calves below the knee at all when I have the sock arranged properly . . . and I have very muscular calves that are not uncommonly problematic with NON-compression socks.- Not thin/see-through as some other reviews indicated, although that would not bother me. I'd even prefer slightly thinner, but these appear very durable (will update later on wear).- And, as much as I hate to admit it, YES, they kept swelling down in my ankles/feet and calves and my legs felt overall better at end of day.CONS:- compression on toes. I have toe pain anyway, would prefer a slightly larger toe area with perhaps no compression. As I am just learning ins and outs of compression socks, not sure if that is possible. Or maybe an open-toe version, even though doc says I need closed-toe; I figure whatever makes me most comfortable is what I am likely to use most, so how about it, Sockslane? An open-toe style?- I wish the outside of the sock were the inside, the outside feels just heavenly and much more cottony than the inside. That's pretty much it on cons. The people who said the socks were not cotton, or that they smelled, or were thin, or took forever to arrive, I think must have received socks from someplace else - i.e., not SocksLane. The Sockslane socks are supposed to be fulfilled directly by Amazon, and mine arrived the day after ordering, were not thin, did not smell, and were in very visibly marked packaging that said "SocksLane". If they came in other packaging (like it appears in some pics), I suspect they are not "SocksLane.I bought some woolblend compression socks at the same time that arrived today and I have already tried on. There is less compression than with the SocksLane socks, they bind a little at the top, they are thinner, the toe seam is less smooth, and I some of my ankle swelling had returned in just an hour after switching from Sockslane to them. I suspect SocksLane will be the winner of the competition over the long haul.

Excellent compression socks
Since my varicose vein removal 10 years ago, I have worn several brands of compression socks. These are the best.

Perfect travel socks, in my opinion
Update: these socks were so comfortable, even while traveling 30+ hours due to flight delays. My legs never hurt; my feet never felt cold or sweaty. Strongly recommend these socks for travelers.---I'm flying halfway around the world for a conference, and knew I ought to get compression socks for the plane. Was not thrilled with the idea of wearing hot synthetic socks for many hours, so was glad to see a cotton option. (These are 65% cotton, 15% stretch nylon, and 10% spandex--the latter has to be added to create the compression.) They feel cottony soft, and the small regular size fit me well (I wear a 7 or 7.5 shoe, normal calves.) I tried them on and they compress snugly without feeling uncomfortable in any way. Hand washed them and they were pretty much dry the next morning. The colorful stripes are fun--they basically look like normal cotton knee highs. I'd much rather pay more for one pair of great socks (vs several synthetic pairs), so I feel these are worth it.

Graduated compression means that these socks are very easy to put on and to take off!
As a senior citizen with several serious medical issues, I knew how important it is to keep my ankles from swelling. After spying these colorful and fun new types of compression socks on Amazon, I ordered two pair, one in dark blue and one in grey, for a recent cruise to Norway and Scotland. Usually I only wear compression stockings for the airplane flights, but this itinerary included the possibility of cooler, windy and rainy weather from Oslo up to the Arctic circle and over to the Faroe and Orkney Islands, so this time I opted to choose these knee-high compression socks for the added warmth. I am so glad that I did! These socks are simply amazing and got worn nearly every day, keeping my feet toasty warm and happy. They were easy to put on and nearly as easy to remove, and I never once noticed any ankle swelling. If I didn't live in Florida for half of the year, I would happily order several other colors and patterns in these terrific compression socks, although there will be a few very cool days in December and January, even in Sarasota. They are a nice thickness, but not too much to be hot or to make my shoes too tight, but just thick enough to be snug and very comfortable...and they are very affordable, as well!. Yes, I love these socks!

Style has changed: new and worsened
I've bought SocksLane 15-20 Hg cotton socks repeatedly over several years. I liked them for their high cotton content/feel and happy medium between effective-squeeze and ease-of-putting-on. They were ~$20/pair which feels expensive to me, but worth it. My most recent (Aug 2026) purchase is not worth the money. The package says 60% cotton, but the feel is NOT cottony. It's now a pique knit instead of the old-style plain knit. I speculate the pique texture is an attempt to make the plastic feel more airy. They're slightly harder to put on. They're also longer: I have to fold/cuff the top. Sigh. Back on the hunt for good socks. :-(

Perfect cotton compression socks
Purchased for a flight a week after surgery. Easy to get on and off, adequate compression, so comfortable and breathable. Unusual to find cotton compression socks. Worth every penny.Only criticism I have is I weight train a lot and even though I am a size 10 UK dress size and my shoe size is UK 5.5, my calf measurement is over 16". I therefore fell between the two sizes but chose the S-M. It was definitely the right size, it stretched easily over my calves without causing ANY discomfort and fit perfectly on my feet. I therefore think the size guide might need a little revision. Item itself is perfect.

Practicos, comodos de muy buen tamaño
Me gustaron mucho por eso volví a pedir 4 pares

If calf measurement is borderline go for the next highest size.
Liked the pair that are extra wide. Having the cotton content makes them more comfortable to wear. The pair that was not extra wide is difficult to get on, so if your calf measurement is borderline, go for the next size up.
