They are clear glass that has been coated with amber cellophane or something similar to cellophane. It peels off readily with a small pocket knife or any edged tool. The way I discovered the coating was having it dissolve around the cap threads of a bottle in which I had put full strength tea tree essential oil. I needed to carry a small quantity with me to address a problem by regular applications. Good idea, but poorly made and INACCURATELY described product. The 10 ml bottles are actually amber glass - the color is part of the glass itself, not some spray on color coating.The other problem is dissatisfaction with the fit of the steel ball into the inner cap/retainer. It hasn't come out yet, but it is too loose, allowing too much liquid to accumulate in the space beneath the ball and seepage if not stored perfectly vertically. I'll be contacting the seller regarding a return, but that'll be reviewed in the appropriate section.I will not purchase any Daphcoo labeled product bottles again. There are just too many competitively priced alternatives from other sources to throw good money after bad. Not all off-shore manufacturers take shortcuts. But this one does, in my experience.
