DONYER POWER Electric Sewing Machine Portable Mini with 12 Built-in Stitches, 2 Speeds Double Thread, Embroidery,Foot Pedal

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this DONYER POWER Portable Mini Electric Sewing Machine to make simple projects like some sachets. I miss my big machine that I gave away several years ago because I did not use it anymore. This adorable little machine does everything I want to do and it comes with everything needed. It has all the things my full-size machine had, including a sewing/threading light, built-in thread-cutter, and a handy storage drawer. (See photos.) I've been making "Sweet Dreams" Bunny Sachets and Lavender Rose Sachets for my drawers. I like that this has three different sewing modes; foot pedal, slow, and fast. I have always used the foot pedal for sewing, so that option was a must have. Although I will likely always use the same stitch, it's nice that this comes with 12 different built-in stitches and I definitely like the one-year warranty. This is wonderfully lightweight and portable; so easy to carry and easy to use. This is an excellent little machine for a beginner or for anyone. I appreciate that this machine is space-saving and, most importantly, works great for me, not to mention adorable.

With a variety of stitches to choose from, I can easily switch between straight stitches and zigzag stitches with a simple press of a button. The machine's built-in threader is incredibly helpful, making it easy to quickly and effortlessly thread the needle. Additionally, the machine's foot pedal allows me to control the sewing speed, giving me the flexibility to work at my own pace. I purchased the machine to do light sewing projects. I always had with threading the needle. Then the thread continually jammed the machine. I had my daughter look at it because she does use a machine, and she spent a long time trying to get it to work, and no matter what she did, the thread knotted up and jammed the fabric. I told her I was going to give it away, and she said that would not be a nice thing to do to someone. Not a good introduction to sewing!

I bought this sewing machine for my 12 year old granddaughter who has taken an interest in sewing. I used it today so I can become familiar with its use before teaching her how to use it. It is a nice machine for a beginner and has the basic features of a full-sized machine, such as how to thread, wind the bobbin and use the pedal to sew. The machine also does a few other stitches such as zig-zag and buttonholing. The needle was hard to thread, even with a needle threading tool. The threader is not "self-threading" like standard machines. The machine did a fairly good job sewing through thicker sections of fabric. This is a good first machine for a child interested in sewing, or even for an adult new to sewing who is not ready to make an investment in a standard size machine..

My mom is an expert on sewing. She used to have a big sewing machine (like a table size) at her home where she did so many projects over the years. I purchased this mini sewing machine for her while she stays with me. This is mini size, with electric power, and foot pedal. The machine comes with needle pre-threaded. Without reading too much into the user manual, my mom has figured out all features on it as it looks similar to the old standing sewing machine at home. The markings/icons on machine is user-friendly. The many different kind of stitch patterns, the closeup light, convenient builtin drawer, the flexibility to use either power (with two speeds) or foot pedal give her full control. She likes it so much. Only thing to mention is the stitch pattern selector dial is a bit too tight to turn, we almost thought it's not operable and just decoration, looking for real button to make the selection. Finally able to turn it, just using some extra effort. Other than that, everything is awesome.

Light weight. Instructions are okay. It has several stitches, but many are just variations in stitch length. The one foot that comes with it is not the one I think of as the 'standard', so I'm learning. Okay if you want to see if you like sewing without making a big investment, but doesn't seem like it will hold up to heavy use. I haven't used it for long periods of continuous use. Broke a needle trying to hemn stretch denim.

I do not need a fancy sewing machine that would require me to spend hours to figure out how to use. I only want to do some simple alterations of my clothes since I am short so it is hard to find clothes that fit my size LOL. this one just meets my needs, simple and easy to use. the instructions are easy to follow and the machine does not jam or create any mess even though i am still a novice. it is not bulky but not small at all so it is easy to operate and is still light weighted. I even taught my 13 year daughter and now it has become her new toy for this summer now. I am happy finally she can have some activities away from her mobile phone or laptop. :)

OMG, this portable sewing machine is the cutest thing ever! The pink and white color combination is absolutely adorable, and it sews like a dream. It's perfect for small projects and on-the-go stitching. I love how easy it is to set up and use, even for a sewing newbie like me. Highly recommend to anyone who wants an easy-to-use mini and reliable sewing companion
