I love this thing. It was exactly what I needed when I needed it and at a relatively decent price. $27 is a little expensive for something like this IMO, but in the 6 months since I bought it, it's been worth every penny. If you're looking for a way to provide a fast, stable connection for more than one device via an ethernet cable, this is the product for you, and it's simple to install. The hardest part of the installation was just moving my TV to get at the cords behind it. The rest was easy. I definitely recommend this product.

Really help me connect my xbox, ps5,desktop and my two monitors. A must to make it easy to maneuver though your devices.

This is the real deal! Many of the other switches that you read about will greatly slow down the internet speed that you receive on connected devices. Not this one. I have fiber speed of 1gig and each of the four devices I have attached to this switch also have the same 1gig speed. Plug-n-play.

Did not work! Tried multiple different power sources as well as connecting known working Ethernet cables in each slot in case I was picking the wrong one but could not get it to work. Just buy a network switch

First things first...Not sure why the item talks about it being a "Ethernet Splitter". Sure, I guess that is technically correct, but why confuse people with that unnecessary description? It's a network switch, and a switch does one thing (As per a very big network hardware vendor: "A network switch allows two or more IT devices to communicate with one another. In addition to connecting to end devices like PCs and printers, switches may be connected to other switches, routers, and firewalls, all of which can provide connectivity to additional devices." Anyways, rant is over. It's a small, very solid feeling gigabit network switch. The port layout is a little odd (Two ethernet ports and a USB-C on one side, three ethernet ports on the opposite side) but I could see situations where it's beneficial. What is that USB-C port for? POWER!!! Obviously a network switch needs power, and traditionally for a device of this size/capabilities you would have some AC adapter with a barrel connector on it. Meh, it's usually fine, although some of the AC adapters are unnecessarily large and can block ports on your power-strip. With USB-C you have tons of options! Terminate it into a small/compact USB power plug, power it from a USB battery pack, power it from a computer, etc. And thankfully it's USB-C (Still seeing new/modern devices using Micro-USB, why!?!). Bandwidth of the ports is as expected for a gigabit connectivity. Using `iperf3` I didn't notice any speed loss when compared against results with the host connecting directly to my router. Didn't notice any lag/stalling when connecting devices, and no issues moving devices around from port to port. It's an unmanaged network switch, it's not going to get in your way. Other than port layout I really wouldn't change anything with the device. The USB-C aspect is really attractive, especially if you're trying to travel and need something for trade shows and what not.

This unit easily splits a single RJ45 network connection into 4 ports. These are more like hubs than switches. Each device will get its own IP address on the network and easily communicate with other devices without hindrance. Altho, if multiple devices try to do large file transfers, all devices connected through this unit will slow down. The case is rugged, so easy to connect up and just drop behind a desk if needed to be out of the way. Easy to power using standard 5V USB-C power supply

This network switch is noticeably smaller than other 5 port switches, due to the ports being on both sides. It is powered via a phone charger, and a 1 amp charger seems to suffice. I verified the speed by transferring to and from my home server, and I got around 100 MB a second, which is almost a gigabit, the advertised speed. setup was simple, just being plug and play, and I haven't had it randomly shut off on me, an issue I've had with cheaper switches. Overall, if you need more ethernet ports, this is a worthwhile purchase.
