1V_TGP-001 Spiral Panning Machine

Having a similar product a few years back and I was looking forward to trying the Gold Miner. I had seen the Gold Miner Unit on a prospecting trip and after going to the product website I decided to order one. I had saved concentrate from a couple trips to the desert to use upon receipt of the unit and couldn't wait to open the package from Amazon. The unit set up easily and the advertised features were very apparent. The Gold Miner worked as advertised and it was very exciting to see the little specks of gold appear in the catch cup. I have taken gold from the same area for many years and had a good idea of how much fine gold I would get from the concentrate I was going through. I am happy to report that I found far more gold than I could have imagined. Having panned out the black sand for many years I felt I was pretty good at getting all the gold from the concentrate but now know that I have missed a lot of fine gold that was hiding in the black sand. I look forward to going back to the desert and getting more concentrate as I know I will have more gold for the vial and there might even be a picker or two. Thank you Gold Miner.

This is quite an excellent product and at great price. It is easy to set up and run. I have found the best capture rates are to feed slowly and further classify my cons. I classify down to a number 10 (in my area gold is almost always small) and run that through my sluice. When I get home, I classify a bit more with a simple kitchen strainer to get out the small pebbles and pan that separately to look for chunkier gold. I run the remaining cons through the wheel slowly 2-3 times. After 2-3 times you can be assured that you have captured as much as possible. It takes a bit of playing to figure out the right angle but the guide that is included helps. This is a great device to save tons of time panning all of your cons down.

The media could not be loaded. Quality build. Once you have it adjusted and the water pressure dialed in, it is very effective.

AllWorks better than expected. I would recommend you try them.

This product comes all in one tote which is very convient , however the instruction could be more clear on how to use it. I would give this a 31/2 out of 5.

The build quality of this product is outstanding.If I could of given it more stars I would.I originally bought a desert fox because of the name and reputation but was disappointed by the mass production and poor workmanship. The desert fox would not even function without modification also the main drive motor assembly was the mechanism was warped.I returned the desert fox garbage.Upon receiving the gold miner 1v tgp 001 I was immediately impressed with the build quality and craftsmanship.the unit appeared to be hand built and attention to detail.I would highly recommend this over the desert fox.Also I reran tailings from the desert fox and was able to recover even more gold.Things I like about the gold miner is the Micro adjuster. You can set it and forget it unlike Desert box which always seems to be changing angles if you don't pay attention all the time.The actual spiral wheel is made of a much better Quality plastic then the competitor and is bigger.The PVC framing is very solid and I do not have to worry about it moving.I also like the water control valve is made of metal instead of plastic like the desert fox's valve assembly is.Everything about the gold miner is of a much better quality.Cannot say enough about this product for $199 you cannot go wrong. BUY IT!!

i like the fact a total idiot like myself can set this up and use it... the right way... in seconds...bottom line theres many ways to recover gold, this works and its cheap and easy to use and as a person who likes cheap and easy i was impressed.the cooler also holds a few beers... just sayin if your taking it anyway its beer thirty somewhere right?

We're just starting out with prospecting as a hobby. We use the Gold Hog Pan to get concentrates. Then we use a green plastic pan 11 pc Prospecting-Mining-Panning Kit- 2- Classifiers 3 Gold Pans,+ MORE!! for clean up. After the first few times our hands started hurting, so we bought this and are loving it! It's very efficient. We bought a 12 VDC power supply Pyramid PSV300 Heavy-Duty 30 Ampere Switching Power Supply that is strong enough that no battery is required. They provide and recommend attaching a sock to the pump to filter debris. However the sock kept getting so clogged up with very fine sand that the pump couldn't provide enough water, so we took the sock off and hung it about 1 inch off the bottom of the tank and everything works just fine now. Also some of the sock ended up in the holes of the spray nozzle and made water squirt outside of the spiral pan, similar to holding your thumb on the end of a garden hose. I feel the sock filter can work, but the provided sock should be made of a different material that's thinner, more porous and doesn't decay.
