Where has this product been during all of my other disposal installs. We needed to install a disposal for a relative and decided to save our backs and purchased this item. Why have we never spend the few dollars on this amazing product sooner? It made the stallation job so much more managable. I will never install another disposal without it!!

Best $12 I ever spent. Worked perfectly. Last time I had to use a scissors jack, this was so much easier!

Easily allows you to lift disposer from the top rather than trying to lift while under the sink. It makes a difficult job simple.

Where has this been all my life, fought with the disposal for over an hour yesterday, could not get it in because is a tight location, I received this tool this morning and took me longer to unpack it than to install the GD, what a great tool. A must have for any tool box

(⚠️ If you choose to purchase this product please consider wearing gloves when handling due to cancer-causing chemicals.)As someone with low strength trying to fix a garbage disposal solo I can attest this product does seem to work. Initially I had trouble with the chain slipping but after viewing the video - provided via QR code on the back of the box - I realized I was using it wrong.However even using it correctly I was not able to screw my disposal back on because you still have to do some lifting and the connector is finicky. To be fair I have a very old, all metal Insinkerator brand that isn't even on their website anymore. That isn't the fault of this product, but just know you may still need help if you REALLY lack strength.While this product didn't personally work for me I still would have kept and recommended it had it not been for the Prop 65 warning on the back of the box. Per my photos it's for "nickel" and other "chemicals" known to cause cancer in California. While I'm not in California obviously substances don't magically become non cancerous in other states; as someone who practices the Precautionary Principal I would not have bought this product had the warning been in the product description where it belongs.While I'm not personally concerned about nickel the warning makes me concerned for anyone with nickel allergies. Seems to me if there is enough nickel to warrant a warning there may be enough to cause an allergic reaction. That is another reason the warning should be in the product description.Honestly I'm torn on rating this installation tool 2 stars or 3. It works ok, but I can't in good conscious recommend it due to the low quality, cancerous material. Stainless steel is typically one of the most inert substances out there; this device could certainly be made with a higher quality version that doesn't need a warning.The version I purchased was Amazon Prime with free returns and I'm returning for free via UPS drop off.
