Winado 24" Portable Metal Tool Box, 5 Drawers Lockable Toolbox, Black

Quick update: I liked the tool chest so much I got the bottom 4-drawer as well. Perfect for my weekend screw arounds at home. I was worried from the other reviews about thin metal and damage while shipping. The box protection was above and beyond what I expected, in addition to styrofoam they had extra plastic guards for the corners plus harder edge protectors. Unless someone was hammering on the shipping box with a mallet, your tool box will arrive unscathed. As for the tool box itself, this is a perfectly suitable option for the at home mechanic. I would say it is about the same quality as my tool box from Harbor Freight which lasted me over 5 years and still in perfect condition. Like anything if you take care of it and don't slam the drawers or baseball throw tools at it, there is seriously no problem. The metal is good, I've seen crappy metal tool boxes, things that will soda can and warp with just hand pressure. This box is absolutely solid and will last years if you take care of it.

I’m very happy with this order. It arrived a week early and it was packed so well, they could have dropped it from an airplane and it would look fine. At first glance I was happy with the weight considering its low price. It’s fully assembled except for the handles on the sides. Like most good companies they include a small Phillips screwdriver; it made me smile, just thinking someone ordered this tool box and doesn’t have a Phillips. The locking system is primitive yet efficient. They have two iron bars that slide in front of the drawers locking everything in place. They provide two keys for your lock. The doors actually remain closed after closing. What a refreshing surprise. They do not slide completely open; all but about an inch open completely. This is not bad considering the price point. They also include rubber mats. Overall, I’m very pleased with this box. If you have few tools, it will actually store a good beginner set. I set mine over my rolling tool chest and I’ll use it for smaller items that usually get lost in bigger drawers.

This is an adequate basic toolbox. Ha does are flimsy and hard to use when toolbox is partially full. Lid does not open and close smoothly. Drawers do work well but are too thin for drawer organizers. Drawer liners are nice touch. Not really portable bit works adequate as table toolbox for small parts/tools.

I was worried since there was damage to the shipping box corner, but the item was packaged well and no damage! Pleased with the product…it’s light duty, but is perfect for the home hobbyist. The handles do not come attached, you have to use the included thread forming screws. There will be resistance at first until the threads form in the tool box but then screw in easily. They include a cheap little screwdriver…throw it in the trash immediately and use a real screwdriver. The one they include won’t stay seated in the Phillips head screws. The drawer liner is very cheap thin foam and will tear easily, but glad they included something. Drawer slides are actually pretty smooth.

I received my tool box today and I am more than happy with its quality. The tool box was packed with care I even noticed on the box that it said it had glass and was fragile. The draws performed as I expected for the price but worked with ease. Assembly was just short of boring for someone who likes to do assembly, only had to attach handles. This was a great buy. I can not say all sellers will take the same pride in shipping and handling but this one did. Great buy!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this tool box. It has a very high quality feel, the drawers glide perfectly, and have a detent when pushed in all the way which keeps the drawers shut if mounted in a moving vehicle. The sheet metal that it is made from isn't as heavy as what you'd find in a brand name box, but it is heavy enough if not abused, and the workmanship is beyond excellent. For around a hundred bucks, it can't be beat. Also, it is bigger than it looks in the photos. That was an added bonus.

These tool boxes are garbage. Do NOT buy them, you WILL be disappointed. The build quality is awful, you'll have seams that don't line up and chincy spot welds that hold the hole thing together. And that's even if you get the whole thing--mine was completely missing the silver drawer tabs and one of the locking rods. Winado's customer service is especially awful, they'll plead with you to not return it instead of just owning up to it. I ordered 2 boxes, my first was absolute junk with all of the above plus the top didn't even line up with the box itself so I sent that back. I got the second one in and immediately sent it back. I'ts been over a week now, I didn't even open the thing and winado hasn't fulfilled my refund yet. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. Go to Home Depot and spend the extra money on a good quality box with a warranty!

This product was damaged. Nice product ! But…The lid doesn’t close as a result.we just opened it and There are dents as you can see also the lid got shifted from the impact of something so it won’t close! Very disappointing as it was a Father’s Day gift:(
