Q: The stopcock is stuck in place. it won't rotate. i tried adjusting and removing the "nut" at the end but still couldn't rotate it. what did i miss?

Hello, You have a locked up stopcock. If you try and force it - you break it. You can try heating it with a hair dryer and see it is loosens it up, but I won't count on it. I would likely myself send it back as being defective. Or you could try taking the nut off the device all together and gently tapping the stopcock to make it come out. Again, you risk breaking the glass though. Thought I would tell you all three options that I know. Myself - I would send it back.

Q: Hi, I'm planning on using this with oil. How do you thoroughly clean this after use?

I used mine with oils also. I just took it apart wherever possible, and washed it in warm soapy water. Then propped it carefully in different positions until it was thoroughly dried. Drying took quite awhile but seemed to work fine.
