I love the concept but it’s hard to use in a classroom setting. I wanted to either scan and make copies for classroom use. Or scan and read on board for repetition but the sizing is very weird.But as an individual use for tutoring it’s perfect. The student can even color it!! They love having/ making their own book and it gives them the repetition they need!

This book has been great for my ESOL students in grades 3-5. They love the stories and they are learning to read in English!

Kids need to learn site words and phonics to succeed. This series of books focuses on site words. Good stories and good use of words.Took off 2 stars for high cost and monotone pic color. Added star back on bc the books are good for site word support.

I have been looking for a while for material that could help my kids learning to read. This book is amazing. Works great for my kids to learn and making it fun to learn.

Within this series of four books containing ten stories each, children are introduced to particular sight words and explicit directions on how to read these words. Sound symbols like shaded and white hearts assist in a child's decoding of words with irregular Dolch word spellings. Awesome series of books for instilling confidence in beginning readers. I started with the Site Words Yak Pak series and then went on to the Phonics Comics series. Both have been enjoyable and encouraging for my struggling reader who has been very discouraged at school. These books are user friendly and doable and my struggling student actually looks forward to them. This has been fabulous for me as a parent, it is so hard to watch your child struggle at school. I just love how the books are broken down, everything in them is there for a reason, yet somehow the books make learning to read fun. The books also provide an opportunity to check reading comprehension, does your child know what they are reading about? Or are they just sounding out words. That connection to the page is huge. Thanks Yak Pak!!!

I work with special education students and they are responding to the simple and clean way sight word recognition is presented - especially for kids with sensory issues. I appreciate the Additional Reinforcement ideas - excellent way to build wrap around with parents...and they appreciate being able to help as the ideas are easy and fun for the family to do.

My four year old daughter absolutely love this book!! It made her feel confident. She didn’t want to stop reading.I will leave another review when we get half way through the book.
