I do think these are useful for toddlers who are newly trained and have the occasional little accident. My daughter still is at risk when at soft play areas or sometimes doesn't get there in time if in the car ect..I wouldn't recommend for the very early stages of toilet training as it will not hold bigger wees. They are not pull ups- they are effectively knickers/pants with a lil padding. I did find though that they started to retain a smell of urine even after being washed on a high temperature which isn't ecological. I would recommend washing them as soon as they are wet although I found that this wasn't always possible if my son was at his nursery and had a little accident, they would bag up the wet pants and they would be smelly by the time I washed them come early evening.
