REOLINK Duo 3 PoE Dual-Lens PoE Security Camera with 180° Panoramic View

A couple years ago, I purchased the Reolink DVR with 4 cameras, and had them mounted on the 4 corners of my home. 2 in the front yard facing each other so I can see the whole area, and 2 in the back yard facing each other. I've always wanted better side yard visibility since I've had a few instances now of people crossing through my sideyard and even contruction people working for a neighbor who were in my side yard. So, I bought this on sale (thank you Amazon and Reolink) to cover the back yard, and repointed the ones on the corners to see the side yard. You can see in the screenshot above, I can now see all of my yard and have a great view of the backyard. The clarity is nice. I also like the floodlight feature on it as well as the 2 way communications available. The siren COULD be louder, but I won't be using that much (hopefully). As I've mentioned in previous reveiws, I love that it's a POE camera since it won't need batteries and can't be jammed by a FlipperZero or other wireless jamming device. It can't be disabled without you first having been recorded. That being said, I would recommend pairing it with the DVR for that purpose. It can take up to 256GB of memory in an SD card, but that can be removed. If paired with a DVR indoors, they can take the camera or remove the card, but they're still recorded securely in your home! Also, if you're like me and have your network equipment on a battery backup, cutting power to your home won't kill this camera. It will run on the juice being supplied across the network! Sweet! If you're not interested in that, can't get network cables to the location you plan to mount it, or just prefer wireless still, then go for the wifi version of this camera. I'm still impressed with the rest of the features enough to suggest it! For the techies out there like me, it plays nicely with all the IOT services. Apple Homekit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and (my favorite) HomeAssistant all play well with it! In Alexa and HomeAssistant (the two I've tested the most with it) even the options to send voice back to it, trigger the siren, and trigger the flood light are all available! I'm already testing automations in HomeAssistant now! For the price, this is a great camera. My only complaint is a nit-picky one, and that is that in the DVR dashboard it comes across a bit small because it's panoramic. I hope they add layouts in the DVR to accomodate these later! Until then, I'm still satisfied. It's been worth every buck!

Wide Coverage and Great Clarity—Solid NVR Setup I’m running two of these on an 8-channel NVR with PoE power, and they’ve been working great. Being able to record 24/7 with motion tagging and cover such a wide area with one camera is a big advantage. The 180° panoramic view really cuts down on needing multiple cameras to cover the same space. The app makes it easy to navigate between cameras, and having everything displayed on a TV through the NVR is a nice bonus for monitoring. Video quality is sharp, digital zoom works well, and night vision is crisp and clear with very little ghosting. These cameras cover a large area with a single unit, which makes them a great value for the price. As part of my overall setup, I’m running a full Reolink system with both hardwired NVR cameras and cellular units all tied together in one app (see my other reviews), and everything integrates well. I bought two of these Duo 3 cameras along with other Reolink cameras and I have been very impressed. My goal was to get away from an aging cloud-based camera monitoring system, to control my own secure system and to end the monthly subscription fees. After a lot of research, I decided to switch to Reolink. One of the main reasons was I really liked the dual camera 180 degree view these Duo 3 cameras provide. Plus, they were compact enough to tuck into the corner roof eaves of my house and they are barely visible. The video quality is excellent, and color night vision is much better than expected. The cameras are very well-built. The web client and IOS apps are easy to use and provide everything I need. Setup was incredibly easy: Windows 11 PC, Reolink POE switch, Reolink Cameras, Reolink web & IOS apps. Everything works great and I am very happy!

The PRO's upfront are it's cheap, and you get a nice wide FOV with a stitched image from 2 camera sensors. Low-light sensitivity is pretty good, not amazing, but pretty good. It's great for putting on a corner or covering an area like a backyard setting. The camera mount works well and was easy to flip it around to get the angle needed for best picture. The siren is plenty loud enough, and also the light triggered by motion is suitable to get a great color picture during nighttime, and the IR emitters also do not create blooming of near objects to the camera, it does a GREAT job of picking up depth of field at night. The Reolink support staff are also far more responsive than several of the other vendors I have seen by far. I will also caveat this review that my impressions are based on my experience with using this camera with the BlueIris NVR software running on a PC that is setup for surveillance and with extra GPU cards for video processing. The CON's: 1) In BlueIris you can get 1-way audio, but you can't get 2-way audio. You have to use the ReoLink app and be liveview connected for it to work. I would give this product a 5-star review if 2-way audio was working in blueiris! 2) The image quality is either a bit blurry when you zoom in, or full of edge fringe highlight artifacts if you set the sharpness factor higher, so it is somewhat of a faux high resolution setting. I will adjust the sharpness setting and post pics for the extreme sharp setting. First 4 pics are the best image quality settings I was able to achieve, last pic is example of what higher sharpness setting does. Keep in mind folks, this isn't a $4000 camera, for the price paid this is really just a nit, and given the full resolution it beats the Amcrest cameras I replaced it with. 3) Many of the features they list aren't present in the H265 video stream received by BlueIris. The motion detection, highlighting of objects, etc. all appear to be functions done inside the ReoLink app itself and not the camera. BlueIris does it's own motion detection, but it would have been nice to rely on distributed processing and just triggered via ONVIF event instead vs putting more load on the BlueIris NVR. 4) The camera gets quite hot, it even has a wavy line pattern on the area where it radiates the heat. Hopefully this camera will hold up during the high heat in summer. It's the hottest of any PoE camera I have used to date. 5) Also the alarm/siren function appears to not be triggerable via blueiris, and would be great if there was a way to trigger via a http POST sent to camera. Inside the Reolink app camera settings, the siren is activated by motion or off, but this isn't sufficient in my use case. I need to be able to set time of day when siren will be active and also sensitivity for object size based on time of day. This is really more of an area where work could be done to make BlueIris integration better and not so much a camera flaw. 6) BlueIris appears to have problems with the large resolution of the stitched image. I have seen other BI users comment on this as well, and the BI android app CRASHES as soon as you select the H265 stream based cameras, but they work fine in UI3. I am going to call that a BI issue, but you should be aware if you rely on the android BI app that it has issues with these camera streams.

I am beyond disappointed in this camera. First, it is NOT a 16mp camera. It is two 8mp cameras side by side and the worst part is, the image quality if a LOT worse than my single 8mp cameras. It has lot of issues that bug me. First thing is, a single strand of spider web in front of this camera will have the motion detector lights going off every couple of minutes, all night long. Even with the sensitivity turned way down. Second, the microphone is absolutely TERRIBLE. It picks up and amplifies the slightest breeze and makesit sound like you are constantly filming inside a tornado. Just awful. The last thing i will complain about here, is the fact that it seems as thoughthere has been a firmware update that has ALL of my cameras letting far too much light in which results in washed out daytime video and a blue outline on nearly every object. If you try to lower the contrast and brightness to adjust for this, you will find that there will then be a time of day where this adjustment becomes detrimental to the video quality. Also, shadowy areas are nearly black during the day when conditions are just right. I used to love my reolink system, but this new one i just spent $1000 upgrading, has turned out to be far from an upgrade and instead, feels like i swapped my good system for a cheaper, lower quality sytem that cost way more than what i had. This "upgrade" has turned out to be extremely disappointing and a total waste of time and money.

I haven’t had this camera for long yet, however, it doesn’t seem like a really good camera, great quality picture, sounds, and infrared camera. Set up isn’t too bad but it does come with a short wire so you’ll need a longer cable if you plan on going further than 3 feet. I have the Reolink hard drive and I use the app to view the feed, and everything seems good so far.

I just got this to replace the same thing I had in a wireless version, since I have decided to go POE and run ethernet to each point rather than relying on wireless and power bricks. I like that all I had to do was remove the old one from the mount, as they use the same mount, so I had just one screw to remove and tighten again on the new camera to get it up and running. Wide angle is great, although in certain lighting situations you can see the line between the two cameras, but mostly you don't see it in the course of normal daily use. Great clarity, and works well at night also since my sidewalk is only about 25 or so feet from the garage this is mounted on. Spotlight at least makes people aware that they're monitored at night. The wireless version of this would drop randomly despite having as strong a signal as possible, whether on my own mesh or on the Reolink's own 2.4GHZ. Once I moved to POE and replaced the wireless version of this with the POE version, not a single drop. Works well.

I have to say I'm impressed with this particular Reolink camera. That's not to say I haven't had some not so desirable experiences with past Reolink cameras, but this particular model has really changed my mind about what this company really can do. The smart motion detection for people, cars and animals just flat works well. Better than some of my other cameras that cost 3x the amount I paid for this camera. The interface for configuration and playback are very easy to use and understand and the ability to choose what you want to see (car/people/animal) make's reviewing video so easy. The 180 degree view is really sharp except on the sides you see some very small artifacts but nothing very serious and bothersome. The night vision (without IR) is really good. I've got mine set up to only turn on the light when motion is detected; otherwise, with IR / light on all the time it is a super spider/bug magnet. Why can't they make cameras with the IR wavelength that bugs don't see!?! Very easy integration with Blue iris and pretty good onvif compliance, although probably not 100%. I will be keeping my eye on Reolink for new models with similar features, particularly if they come out with a PTZ version. My only complaints are that the sound level, even at 100%, is not very audible like my other cameras. It almost sounds muted. The other issue is when the IR switches it is a LOUD annoying click. I know a lot of cameras have that click but none of my other cameras are nearly that loud of a click. The mic must be in close proximity to the IR cut filter. 2nd update: when video playback is being reviewed the audio in the 'clear' video is choppy and very laggy, I guess due to the 'clear' video choice as opposed to the 'fluent' option which provides good audio with no lag but very low resolution picture. Not sure why they can't give good audio in a 'clear' video playback. My other cameras with similar price range have no issue with this.

I purchased three of these REOLINK Duo 3 cameras. For my use case, they have proven to be perfect. They are clear and vibrant during the day and at night the image satisfies my expectations. I did have an issue with one of the cameras when the IR light failed - though it only reduced visibility marginally as IR from other cameras had overlap. I am thoroughly impressed with Reolink's customer service and warranty procedure. The online customer service agent was thorough and genuinely wanted to help. Shout out to Frank (Australia) who was proactive in ensuring my claim was processed quickly. Reolink dispatched a replacement the same day I posted the faulty unit back to them. I found it to be a very positive returns experience. In total I have seven Reolink cameras with a need to add another four cameras. I won't hesitate to order from Reolink again. I hope others find my review helpful.

SImple to set up, Mounting bracket should have a second mounting hole. Works well with Synology NAS after you change settings in the camera to ONVIF. Excellent!

I was a bit concerned at first when an internet connection and my phone were required for initialization. This camera comes locked down at first, you need to go to server settings and enable http for config and updates via browser and enable rtsp/onvif for use with a 3rd party security app like Blue Iris 6. Image stitching looks great. Night vision is okay but my application is in a dark rural environment with no artificial light that is normally found in cities. I don't let my security cameras access the internet. They are on a seperate network so I'm glad these cameras function in my network environment.
