Perfect for dress making and everyday household sewing. The LS14s has a jam proof drop in bobbin which shows how much bobbin thread is left, whilst the LED light means that thread and fabric colours are not distorted. 14 Stitches - Easy to Select Jog Dial The 14 stitches of the LS14s are easily selected by the Jog Dial. Including Straight and Zig Zag stitches, plus a 4 step button hole. Items in the Box The LS14s comes with the following accessories included in the box Zig Zag Foot (on the machine), Buttonhole Foot Zipper Foot Set of Needles 3 x Bobbins Disc Shaped Screwdriver Foot Control Drop In Bobbin The Drop in bobbin is jam proof. And the clear cover allows you to see how much bobbin thread is left. Free Arm The machine can be converted to Free Arm, to enable sewing of cuffs or sleeves. Tension Adjustment Top thread tension can be easily adjusted by the tension dial above the needle bar.

Also bare in mind that you get a 3 year warranty with this machine I cannot recommend it enough. I tried a couple of them and they are just so frustrating to use and will probably put you off sewing for life. This is THE cheapest, known brand, sewing machine you can buy. The fact that it also has a 3 year warranty makes it a no brainier in my view UPDATE 4: I thought I had a faulty machine… oops! I read the instruction manual and thought that you could rotate the stitch selection knob all the way, 360 degrees, but discovered that actually you rotate it from stitch 1 through to stitch 14 and then back again (right to left & left to right)… hope that makes sense; the knob doesn’t rotate all the way round (360 degrees) UPDATE 5: This Brother sewing machine is still impressing me! It’s so easy to use and just sews so well. A totally brilliant machine. Please don’t bother with the ‘cheap’ toy machines from China as you will never be happy with them. Save up a little bit and buy this Brother sewing machine, it’s a real bargain for such a great machine

Excellent sewing machine. Works perfect and very easy to thread. Quiet operation and very smooth. Great value for the money. It’s a compact, lightweight machine with a solid metal chassis, so it feels sturdy and well-made despite being easy to move around.

Great little sewing machine. Does the job straight out of the box, easy threading and good stitching although only tried it on basic straight stitch to hem curtains (literally within 30 minutes of receiving the package - previous Janome had just broken!). Top mounted bobbin works well and threads easily. Foot controller works great only thing to note is like many modern machines it is light and can move easily but this isn't an issue for me. This machine is good quality, inexpensive and ideal for a beginner or as a backup to get you out of a sewing machine breakdown, highly recommended.
