Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Lip Balm SPF 15, 4 g - Lot of 1 4220N

Both myself and my partner both suffer from chapped lips in the winter, when the central heating goes on and the weather turns cold you can guarantee that our lips will end up dry. I tend to get it much worse than him due to wearing lipsticks that dry out my lips even further. This is one of the only things that I have found that softens my chapped lips again, it really is one of the best out there, and believe me, I have tried almost everything over the years. This smells beautiful, I love the smell of cocoa and it's refreshing not to have a lip balm that has a degree of mint or menthol to it, as I find that it irritates my chapped lips and can even sting sometimes. One brand in particular that I like makes a wonderful lip balm but it is menthol, so I have stopped buying it due to the discomfort of wearing it in the winter. The smell isn't overpowering or over perfumed like some lip balms, so you won't end up tasting it or smelling it constantly. It is only very lightly scented which is a huge bonus to me. The stick is a solid which melts quickly on the warmth of your lips. It's creamy and stays very well. I only need to re-apply this every few hours rather than every 30 minutes like a lot of other brands. It's a standard twist stick so it's very easy to use. It's not sticky at all, which is a huge bonus. I hate a sticky lip balm that leaves you feeling as if you have rubbed sugar syrup all over your lips! This is light and moisturising without making you feel as if you have globs of it hanging between your lips as you talk. The packaging is a bit of a fiddle, but once you pop it out, the outer case is hard and I have never had one get damaged or fall apart, even in my over filled bag. As I said, this is one of the few lip balms that I have found that really works. Within a couple of hours of wearing it my dry lips are soft again, and most importantly, it doesn't dry my lips out further like a lot of brands do. It wont cure your chapped lips, nothing but time will do that, but it softens the dry bits so that they're less uncomfortable and it makes you feel much better. It makes your lips less tight, and much less sore. It's brilliant for preventing the dreaded split lip that my partner is susceptible to. To keep your lips supple, once they start to go dry again, just re-apply. The sticks last forever, even for someone like me who is an obsessive re-applier. It even has a SPF of 15 which is perfect for everyday use. It's not great if you are planning to spend all day out in the sun, but there are specific products out there to protect your lips for the sun, and it's nice to have a small SPF included in this as it's perfect for every day use. I would definitely recommend this, in fact, this is one of the few lip balms that I would actually recommend. It's brilliant. This is pretty hard to find in the shops, the only place I have actually seen it is Boots, but I rarely go there so I was delighted to find it on Amazon for such a reasonable price. Top marks to Palmers.

I have been dependent on lip balm since I was a small child. It's must be in the family because my brother, mother and I all have the proclivity for dry lips. At points during my childhood, it would be so terrible, I'd chronically have a rash around my mouth from licking them SO much. Not just a subtle red rash, but an angry red, hickey-looking rash all around my mouth. Lip balm has forever been a staple for me, and something I can't live without, lest my lips feel like cracking sandpaper. I have been through sooo many lip balms in the 15 years that I've been chronically using them, and this is the ONLY one I've ever used where I feel like it actually nourishes my lips instead of just sitting on top of my lips. I noticed the interesting packaging and gorgeous, but subtle buttery, slightly sweet and rich aroma when my aunt pulled it out of her purse and she told me that it's the only lip balm she's ever used that feels like it actually moisturizes her lips and that she only needs to use it once a day, unlike others where she needs to continuously reapply - I am with her! No longer am I reaching for my lipbalm 5+ times a day. Some days, I don't even need to use this anymore. I use it once or twice a day now, and even when I do, I don't desperately need it, I often just put it on because it feels nice. I'm sticking with it. I'm tired of going through 10s of different brands. This is the one for me. So cheap too! Thank you! <3

Good lip balm

I'm not usually a fan of cocoa butter as it can be a bit greasy and I'm also not a fan of toiletries that smell a little like food. However (!), this lip balm goes on a treat and really leaves my lips conditioned for a good few hours. The consistency is moisturising and not greasy. The mechanism is a little different with the twist cap at the bottom and the balm comes out as a sort of round rectangle. This is good for me as traditional cylinder shape lip balms can break off. Price of this can vary so check before you buy. Would recommend.

The only lip balm you'll ever need . Its fab for keeping lips moist during the winter , central heated places and in summer .

this is good at keeping my lips smooth and not chapped but the shape is odd and it's a bit too expensive for the size

I wasn't sure from previous reviews and looking on the Internet if Palmers had returned to using the old formula. I had been using this previously. However in 2023 the formula changed and it became terrible. A horrid white sticky substance that would stick to my teeth. It was also white in colour. I know a lot of people hated the changed formula. Pleasingly Palmers have listened and reverted back to the old formula. Now feels and looks just as it used to.

Best lip balm on the market. Most taste like they have been dipped in petrol. This has a beautiful flavour and feels wonderful. Great product

Goes on silky smooth. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm is the ONLY lip balm that actually works for my severely chapped lips! The same goes for my best friend, who has VERY chapped lips, until I gave her one of these. Plus, it leaves a matte finish (not glossy) so guys can use it without fear of getting shiny lips. SO glad I was able to find these on Amazon, as I was having a hard time finding them at any of my local stores.
