I grow tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and other vegetables. Which is better to use, bone meal or blood meal?

Both are important. Blood meal provides valuable nitrogen to the plants. Bone meal provides phosphorus and calcium. Each has their own special place in the developmental cycle of the plant.

Are there any other added ingredients besides pure bone meal?

I went to the website indicated on the bag for a list of heavy metal contents and the internet says server NOT FOUND. This seems to be a general problem for many fertilizers identifying as organic or natural. Please be very careful about what heavy metals are in your fertilizer as these can cause serious life long illness when accumulated in our brain, liver, lungs, etc. from the food we grow and eat. Always check the list of ingredients and do your own research.

Can this be used for lawn?

Hello: Blood Meal can be used on lawns but it wouldn't be a first choice for fertilizer. This is a small bag, only 3lbs so you'd need a lot to cover a lawn area. Hope this helps, Burpee
