I love the even cooking that its 5-ply structure provides
This is my new favorite pan - both for sauteing and for frying. It has a good weight and the handle is easy to hold and keep level. My favorite part is that it seems to heat up more evenly than all my other stainless steel pans - I attribute that to 5 ply construction compared to the 3-ply that all my other pans have. I also like that the lid fits slightly inside the pan, so when sauteing steam and moisture drip back into the pan evenly instead of getting caught on an inside lip like most of my other pans do. Like my other stainless steel pans, this one is easy to clean up even when you get seared food on it. Just add about 2 mm of water to the pan and bring it up to boiling, and use a plastic spatula to scape off anything that seems stuck. It comes loose every time! And yes, I tried frying a egg in it by bringing the pan to temp and waiting until water droplets dance before adding oil. The egg came loose pretty well when it was nearly done, but the truth is, I'll probably still stick to a non-stick pan for eggs.

2.3mm thick, 0.5mm copper
Have not used it yet, but here are the specs I wish the page (and kitchen aid itself) listed. The pan is thinner than I had thought it would be: 2.3-2.4mm thick in total, with around 0.5mm of copper in the middle layer, as measured at the lip. It’s around 10.75” lip to lip in diameter and has bottom cooking surface of around 7.5” to 7.75” in diameter. I’d call it a saucier/everyday pan because of the rounded bottom edges. Definitely an upgrade from straight edged sauté walls, at the expense of flat cooking space. If anything it should be nice for stir-frying. It is made in China (on the box), so it is not the discontinued white labeled demeyere-manufactured line sold by kitchenaid. For $49 it is a damn good deal. It is hefty for sure: at around 3.8lbs without a lid (for reference, my Tramontina 3ply at 2.6mm thick 12” skillet is 3.2lbs; my 3qt Misen 5-ply saucier at 3mm thick is 3.15lbs without its lid). It is NOT teflon coated. It is bare stainless steel (thank goodness). Not sure whether it would be better than my current thicker triply Tramontina set at searing/whether it would be more responsive. Edit: it is fantastic in use. Heats evenly and is responsive.

Can't Beat This For Quality, Useability, and Value for The Money
Excellent, especially with the helper handle! Use to bake and many other things. Love the thickness, heat distribution, durability and long-term investment in quality product. Stainless is easy to clean and no chance of teflon or other coatings to leach into food. Highly recommend!

Not as advertised
The issues i faced after following the usage procedure mentioned in the manual: 1. Overheats 2. If you're making pan cakes, you can make 2-3 pancakes, post that it will start charring untill u wash it and let it cool. 3. Food burns easily as heat distribution is poor. 4. Comes without any lid.

great quality but like other steel, it is heavy
It was a great product. It was a bit too heavy for me (hence 4, rather than 5), but otherwise perfect. I guess all steel is heavy.

Very good heat distribution
I used this pan for sautéing poultry, meat, vegetables and it performs very well without using high heat. Clean up is easy, if there are stains left after drying, a 30 minutes soaking with a mixture of 50/50 water and vinegar works very well. So far I am very happy with my purchase.
