Doesn't get hot, decent light
I bought this to put in a desk lamp. I've used cheap Chinese LED-bulbs in the past, and I notice they tend to get as hot as a conventional incandescent light-bulb, leading me to wonder whether they're really any more efficient. They also tend to fail quite rapidly, presumably due to overheating. In contrast, this Philips bulb does not get even noticeably warm to the touch, even after hours of use. I therefore see this as an indicator of both efficiency and longevity. To my eyes, the light is indistinguishable from a 40W incandescent bulb. It is a relatively natural white, but slightly warmer. Over all, I'm glad I bought a branded bulb and can recommend it.

Great Halogen Bulb replacement
I wanted to replace previous Halogen Spotlight bulbs for our kitchen lights but I did not want them to be too cool white coloured like most LED lights. I found that these were the perfect temperature/light colour and I even compared it with one of the Halogen lights and they were perfectly bright enough and did the job and look great. Hopefully these will last their life span and save us some pennies in the process.

Great replacement for 40W Reflector bulb.
I have run some tests with this bulb and with the original 40w traditional bulb. The light pattern is more consistent across the spread, the spread of light is about the same and the colour is the same as the traditional bulb. Going from 40W to 2.5W is a huge jump and i cant tell the difference so would look at getting more of these.

As good as can be
This was well packed, and I am hopeful will last a longtime as stated.

Bought two - one didn't work
Good job I bought two of these then as the first one I tried didn't work at all. Perhaps you'd better order two yourself if you really need it - or go elsewhere with better quality control ...

Excellent LED light bulb!
Excellent LED light. The warm white colour is identical to typical light bulbs. Yet the 2.7W is hugely more economical than the classic 40 W. I would highly recommend it.
