Just what I needed for a loose plywood topped workbench in order to securely attach it in place.
I have no major complaints or concerns with these threaded inserts, they do what they say on the tin and it's genuinely a handy set to have for dedicated projects and odd jobs that might need robust and reusable threaded connections. They arrived alongside an appropriately sized Allen key in a plastic organiser with a strong plastic latch. The only thing to keep in mind with these particular inserts is that they’re 15mm thick and you’ll need to make sure you’ve got enough thickness left on your board to avoid blowout or weaknesses caused by drilling the clearance hole for the inserts. The ply I was using was about 18mm thick so I was cutting it close with these but it all worked out in the end. The boards I was using for my workbench had been left loose for now, and these inserts along with some 3D printed brackets made an excellent job of securing things.Because I was using quite a few and didn’t need a huge amount of strength I went with a 9mm drill bit for the clearance hole as I didn’t want to risk it with an 8 or 8.5mm and they went right into place without a bother using the provided Allen key.My M6 socket head bolts threaded into the installed inserts without a problem and I haven’t experienced any stripping of the wood even with a fair bit of torque applied to the bolts in the 9mm sized holes.Under a tenner for 120 of these feels like a fair enough price compared to the ones you can find in hardware stores. You can find other brands selling similar or larger quantity sets for around the same price point, but those tend to be of various sizes and lengths, which isn’t always ideal. These are an easy item to recommend if you’re after some good quality M6x15mm inserts at an affordable price for projects involving woods of various types.

Good quality, easy to use.
These threaded inserts seem well made and are easy to screw into a suitable sized hole with the included Allen key. The size of the thread makes them a very secure way to assemble furniture, compared to wood screws on their own. I feel that there could be more information for the novice on exactly what specification of bolts are compatible with these inserts - hence only 4 stars. Other than that, they seem like a good product.

Well made and a strong box.
I've had a project turning my garage into a woodturning studio, and I've made a whole wall of cupboards and shelves to keep my tools and accessories from getting covered in sawdust and shavings.I was originally going to use screws but I'm glad I picked these threaded inserts as I can use M6 bolts instead. Now I can dismantle any part of the storage with minimum effort AND reuse the wood panels easily.I didn't use the Allan/HEX key supplied to turn the inserts into the 8mm holes I drilled, as it was far to easy to drive them in at a slight angle, and it's far too small to use comfortably for more than a couple of inserts. I found the best way was with a big screwdriver and a good quality HEX bit on the end to keep them straight. Using a drill for turning the inserts would run the risk of over-tightening and stripple the wood thread you've created.I've got plenty of them left and I've found them ideal for making jigs for repetitive cuts and drilling. They make a very strong joint if used properly and I'll certainly be buying more when I've finished this box. I'll also be looking at how I can use other sizes as well.

Great kit for DIY, woodworking or in my case camper conversions
I've got the M6 x 15 kit (120 pcs) and there's plenty in this to keep me going for a long while. I've you've needed to bolt something to wood and you have no access or limited space behind panel, then these are a great solution. The fixing is only going to be as strong as the wood you've used, so don't expect to install heavy loads onto chipboard etc. These are M6, which means you'll need to use M6 bolts (6mm wide) for fixing and an 8mm drill-bit making the hole in the wood. Try not to wiggle the drill when making the hole as this will make the fixing weaker. Once you've drilled your wood, you simply insert and screw the Insert Nut fully using the supplied Allen key. There's quite a course thread and should grip quite well, if you have no plans of removing these, i'd be tempted to smear wood glue on the thread or into the hole before using and this will help bond the Insert Nut to the wood. I think these are superb and i'll be getting more kits soon (M5 & M8), reasonably priced as well.

Good set of M6 Threaded Inserts which work well
This set is a good thing to have in your woodworking stores for when you want to bolt wood sections together using machine screws - very useful for chair or table legs etc which you may want to collapse later. The inserts were supplied in a good quality plastic box that has a decent hinged closing latch. The bright zinc finish of these inserts is of a reasonable quality though less corrosion resistant than the passivated (yellow) zinc finish type. There are a few minor blemishes in the plating - they're not quite as pristine as the product pictures suggest, but that's no biggie. There are negligible burrs in the threads and M6 bolts screw in freely. After you've drilled your 8 to 9 mm hole (depending on hardness of wood/MDF etc), the inserts screw in cleanly and securely using the supplied Allen key. They allow a decent amount of bolt tightness without stripping out of their mounting holes.Pros 👍:✔️ Reasonable quality✔️ Reasonable Price✔️ Work well✔️ Good containerCons👎:❌ NoneIn summary, a good set that work well with a reasonable price
