Awesome
Exactly what I was looking for, very happy. YouTube is very helpful with setting this up, took awhile to get it focused but just something I had to learn to do. So happy with this purchase👍🏼

Decent optics for the value
The optics are decent. The mount does not break down easily for transport. The red dot finder is ok. I wish it had a standard dovetail mount so I could add another finder. I bought this to learn to use the equatorial mount, and it is serving that purpose. Is it worth the money? I think so.

Failed Customer Service
The telescope was decent out of the box, the included assembly instructions were horrible but the video online was good. I was able to see the rings of Saturn and Jupiter with the 4 Galilean moons. The tripod does not fold up or collapse nearly as small as other tripods, unless you remove the bolts for the accessory tray, which is not very easy or convenient in the dark. Without partial disassembly ther is about 12 inches between each foot of the tripod in the furthest closed position. After a couple uses, the focuser had enough backlash to move stars completely out of the field of view when turning forward or back. I disassembled and the focuser tube was aligned or tensioned with a small piece of felt tape that was torn. I replaced with a piece of UHMD tape. The focuser tube is plastic, and the pinion gear is metal and much narrower than the plastic rack gear on the tube, and after less than a year the pinion gear took a chunk out of the plastic teeth on the focuser. I contacted Orion customer service requesting options to buy a replacement or upgraded focuser tube and it took 32 days for them to respond with a statement that there were no replacement parts available because it is an "inexpensive product".

Solo puedes ver la luna.
En los reviews y las especificaciones del producto decían que se podían ver otros planetas aparte de la luna pero honestamente no se puede. Mejor comprarse otro producto de menor precio que hace lo mismo que este.

Not for beginners
It was more technical than we were expecting. We’re not as advanced as I think others would be who would use this telescope
