This works great as a much less expensive alternative to the more well known brands, many of which do not have power passthrough on models that are still more expensive than this. I haven't done a test of its maximum speed, as I'm only using it to provide internet to a Raspberry Pi in my shed, but it works just fine for this purpose. There was no configuration required, simply plug both in and press the button. As always, if you need the fastest, most reliable connection then you should go for a direct Ethernet connection. But, if you don't want the hassle of running cables around, this is a perfectly fine way to get your devices connected.

Fantastic product, pass thru plugs. They work great, already paired in the box, comes with 2 ethernet cable. Just plug and go. Once 3 green lights on, they are working and at £25 bargin. I have bought soooo many for my job. Just ordered 10 last week.

Excellent price. Bit bulky but met my requirements, and product is working well.

It works over long distances - but only if on the same mains ring. If your house has several rings it won't work between them.
