Coming in to this with an open mind, you need to realize that that the concept of this water bottle isn't to flavor water, but to sort of trick your brain in to adding flavor to something that should have none. Sort of the equivalent of sticking a couple slices of lemon peel up your nose while drinking water.That being said, there are some ups and downs about this product, in my opinion..the good:- I like the shape of the bottle. It makes sense to me to have the straw point towards your head, as opposed to straight up and down. I wish more bottles were shaped this way.- the pods, in my opinion, had distinctive smells. Maybe not 100% accurate smells, but the smelled like things.- I like the lemon pod specifically, mainly because it reminds me of FrOOt Loops.- I like the attached wrist strap of the bottle.The medium:- When you suck through the straw, there are holes that sort of aerate the water. The concept I'm sure is to allow more scented air into the water for you to experience, but I just want a moth full of water, man..- I'm not a huge fan of plastic bottles.. the product image almost made it look like stainless steel.The meh:- until technology improves, I feel this is sort of a fad concept; it sort of works, but I don't think it works thirty dollars worth TBH.- a quick search revealed no where to easily obtain replacement pods, so when they dry out, you have a water bottle that gives you half-water and half-air when you use it.I let my 12 year old use this for a while (in exchange for a three-paragraph review, muahahaha), since he said they were having a discussion in science class about a similar product. His response was that he liked the concept, but it [the idea of scent-enhancement not this item specifically] didn't quite live up to the hype in his opinion, either. But interestingly he also noted that he *liked* the fact it was a plastic bottle, because he's tired of all the girls at school dropping their Stanleys and making too much noise. So we differ on that opinion.Long story short, I'm giving it 3 stars, which means it isn't a bad product but has some caveats. Also, I had the privilege of ordering this item for review, so cost was not factored in to the equation, but to be honest I would have to do some soul searching before I dropped 30 dollars on a plastic water bottle with an unknown method of refilling the scent pods, but that's just me, probably.

Got this for my son as he's wanted to try one out. The bottle itself is pretty rugged. Scent pods snap in and out easily. Scent pods are subtle, but trick your brain into thinking the water is actually flavored.

This Air Water Bottle is unique. The concept is that there is a scented ring around the spout, and as you drink water, you breathe the scent, and your brain thinks you are drinking flavored water. I have seen many of these types of bottles on social media. I was curious, so I decided to give it a try. This water bottle comes with five different scent pods. I chose cola to try out. It does work, but only in a very subtle way. It isn't overpowering, and it actually felt like I was drinking flavored water. I think it is a kind of cool novelty idea. It works for me because it is very subtle. It may get me to drink more water.

I was really excited to try this water bottle out, I've seen many of them listed and heard people talk about how great the concept is, so when the opportunity to grab one of these came up, I jumped on it. When it arrived, I eagerly opened the package, filled the water bottle with water (after washing it, yes) then chose the scent that looked most appealing, placed it on the water bottle and then took a drink, just to be disappointed. Yes, I could slightly smell the scent as I sniffed it before taking a drink, because we all know you can't sniff and swallow liquid at the same time unless you want to choke, but it still tasted like water. I then pulled the scent ring up a little so it was closer to my nose and tried again, but still only tasted water. I was so sad, the hype of these scent rings on your water bottle had been broken for me. I thought it might just be me, maybe I just couldn't smell the scent as well as others, so I had my three kids pick a different scent and try it and they confirmed I wasn't losing my mind.I think the concept is a great idea, but if they really want this to work, they need to make the scents a lot stronger, because a very light scent doesn't work. Also, labeling the scents would be a great addition. I knwo they try to put pictures on them to help you understand, but their green, I couldn't tell if it was a green apple or a lime, grapefruit and orange looked the same and the soda one, I had no clue what that scent was supposed to be.I guess if you have a really good nose that picks up slight scents really well, then this might work for you. Unfortunately for my family, it did not work.

I want to first start this review by saying I received this item for free but that this does not affect my review or opinion of the item.I have been wanting to try these air water bottles for some time now.Initially, I was not impressed. Essentially the idea is that when you drink, scented air is pushed out as well to trick your brain into thinking the water is flavored. In the end, the water just tastes like water.After a day of using it with the cola scent, I think I am sold on the concept. I work 10 hours at a desk job and need to drink lots of water with no flavor, or my voice gets garbled. With this, I do somewhat feel like I have some flavor in my water. It makes it more motivating to drink. I have yet to try the other flavors (or, scents), but I have been enjoying the cola one. I believe the pods last up to a week.I would say to try it and see if you like the idea. I think the trick is, while your drinking don't try to smell the scent, just let it hit your nose without thinking about it.
