Malher Shrimp Bouillion 7 oz - Consome de Camaron

This product is wonderful and packed with flavor. It's great for any seafood dish, especially soups and chowder.

This product far exceeded my expectations. So many bouillion-type powder/granules are loaded with so much salt that by the time you get the flavor profile you want, your product is just way too salty. Not true with this dried, granulated product. It tastes like a freshly made consommé, perfect for soups, sauces, stir fry’s, etc. I used it as a base for a shrimp mornay sauce, and the flavor was spot-on! It was incredibly delicious, and when I let my husband taste it, not identifying what it was before he sampled, before adding any shrimp, and he said, “Awesome shrimp sauce, but where’s the shrimp??” The flavor is clean, robust, and instantly identifiable, devoid of unpleasant, artificial notes or aftertastes. I have always utilized Minor’s bases when I was unable to make stock ahead of time, even before chef’s training decades ago, so this was a clear departure from the norm. But I needed it fast, and Amazon came through again! Minor’s is a paste-textured product, must be stored refrigerated, and will get rock hard and difficult to use in time. This product, however, has a dry texture, so I expect it will hold up much better. It’s my new go-to in the kitchen for when I need stock or even a bit of a flavor boost. It’s umami on steroids!

Hard to find shrimp bouillon anywhere in my location. Ordered online and it is exactly as advertised. The price is competitive, the taste is shrimp not like other examples which are just seafood flavored. A little portion makes a lot of broth or cream sauce.

This is a very good product for sauces and stews it must be used as directed as using too much it will make the dish too salty.
