Operation was a success, but the patient died anyway.
After 10 years of use, my iWatch series 1 battery puffed up to the point of popping off the watch face!!-which made it easy to replace the battery, but along the way I accidentally destroyed this touch sensor.Having never been inside an iWatch before, I was a little bewildered. The watch face groove surround was clogged with my skin residues, making it difficult to clean the groove into which this DOUBLE-SIDED adhesive sensor strip was to fit and stick the face back on.I was generally clumsy with swapping out the battery, and did not recognize that this sensor connector has a very tiny screw holding it connected. The kit includes a tri-point screwdriver to fit the screw but by the time I re-read the instructions it was too late -I had ripped the old sensor strip. This is not an overly difficult nor easy task to do.I used a lot of optical magnification to just see what I needed to do. I got it all done but the sensor's adhesive did not want to hold the watch face -it kept popping off because of the skin cell contamination.I tried solvents and X-acto knife to remove it but obviously it didnt work.So I super-glued the face on. Everything worked and I left it overnight to cure the super glue. The next morning the new battery went weird with the display going dim, and overheating during charging. It failed to recover and I blew about $30 so far...In the end I scrapped the watch and bought a refurbed series 4.I got 10 years service out of the series one and I figure that is fair enough, and 30 bucks is a cheap lesson. The iWatch 4 would not pair with my freebie iPhone 6 so I had to buy another iPhone (refurbed 13 pro) since the 6 did not have IOS compatible with the series 4 watch OS.One thing of obsolescence led to another AAaack!None of this is the vendor's bad, nor the sensor product.

Garbage!
Absolute garbage! The adhesive will not stick to the lcd screen or the watch housing. Without a good adhesive, what good is this? The watch won’t stay together. I did get my watch back together and it still didn’t work. Waste of time and money.

Quantity of one
According to past reviews, it used to come in a quantity of two but they must have reduced it to one at some point. It says “one” count on the description so know that you won’t receive two. It came quickly and I was able to install it with no issues. Had to stretch it a bit with tweezers to get it to seat it in the corners. Stick the center of the straight sections and pull it to seat the corners. Worked fine after assembling it.

You'll most likely need this when replacing the battery
Seems kind of funny that a battery for this watch doesn't come with a replacement one of these. A new "gasket" will just make the screen sit too far from the base. So, I removed the "gasket" and realized I'd destroyed the force sensor. Not sure it's actually needed, but made me feel better installing this.

Fits perfectly
Only needed one, but nice it comes with two just in case you mess.up with the first one. Fit the watch perfectly. Be careful installing as it is very thin. Try not to use your fingers as the oils from your skin can reduce the stickyness. I used tweezer like tools to install mine as they are much more precise than fingers.

Screw on wrong side
Am I missing something I order a 42mm replacement Force Touch Sensor Cable .... but it seems that the connector is the wrong way round (mirror image) of what it needs to be. If I have screw connector on right side, the electrical connector is face up (out) rather than facing into watch casing to connect to watch connector

Excellent
Take your time, works quite fine

Good replacement for OEM part
Good thing to have two sensors- it’s easy to tear the material, partly because the adhesive backing is difficult to remove. The adhesive layer itself does not hold well. Otherwise, the sensor works well, as expected.
