Nature's Ocean Samoa Aquarium Decor, 10-Pound, Pink Sand

I do like this sand very much. It's very fine grained and almost solid white with pink flakes. I was a pain in the backside wash and looked like chalk water forever. Also, this was packaged well but the bag it came in was square...not rectangular like the one in the picture. I would buy it again.

Note: Will probably update once I add plantsPretty sand! The little pink specs are cute and remind me of strawberry ice cream. I have a 10 gallon tank (20.1 inch L x 10.1 inch W, 12.8 inch H) and I got roughly 1.5 inch of sand to cover the bottom. (Sand is still wet in pictures).But dear god, it was an absolute pain to clean. It took maybe 20-30 minutes to get somewhat clear water and I’m sorry for the water bill.UPDATE (March 1st, 2020):Sand doesn’t look very pink from afar, but you can see if you look closely. My plants are doing well in the sand, though they sometimes will float up.

I like this sand but it is not pink in any way. The pictures are a bit misleading. Still good sand though

Good sand, I was expecting large pink pieces like what was pictured I got very fine pieces of pink mixed with the sand. It looks good but definitely not as defined as in the picture. The larger chunks would have been nice. I purchased based on the picture, I'll spend my money on something else next time.

It would've been nice to receive the product in the picture. Don't get me wrong, the sand is beautiful but the pink granules in the picture or way bigger than you actually receive.

1. this sand isn't pink2. the sand takes so much water and effort to clean. we spent hours cleaning it today and the tank water is still totally foggy.

It’s good sand and like any sand, it needs to settle. I feel you can’t rinse sand enough. It’s not gravel, it’s sand. It has some nice pinkish specs. It’s the best “pink” sand I could find .
