Q: What are the dimensions of the large & medium baskets? Top outer diameter (excluding flange), bottom outer diameter, height.

The large basket dimensions are 2.5 inches diameter at top (excluding flange), 2 inches diameter at bottom, 3 3/4 inches height. Don't know the medium dimensions.

Q: how to clean the brewing basket

It may depend on what you are running in the basket, but I have not had any cleaning issues with my baskets. I make my tea with boiling water and that may discourage buildup.

Q: How much tea can fit inside the basket?

The basket's about 2"x3". The handles allow it to sit inside a large mug or an opening about 3"-3 1/2" wide. I guess if you wanted you could fit more than an oz. of loose leaf. I only use it for a large cup at a time, about 1/2 tbs scoop.
