Nutricost BCAA + Hydration Powder (Fruit Punch) 30 Servings - Branched Chain Amino Acids with Hydration Complex - Gluten-Free, Non-GMO

Good flavor, not gritty, noticeable difference in muscle recovery.

This is actually one of four flavors of this BCAA drink mix I’m reviewing (the others are  Peach Mango , Raspberry Lemonade , and  Tropical Punch ). These are functionally more or less the same product, so most of this review applies to the other flavors as well.After about two months of regular use, I’ve found this drink mix to be a worthy alternative to the premixed sports drinks that I had previously relied upon for pre-workout hydration. Its main draw is that it contains the branched chain amino acids (BCAA’s) leucine, isoleucine, and valine in a 2:1:1 ratio. The effects of these BCAA’s won’t be massive, but they should help a bit around the edges with workout recovery, muscle fatigue, and the like. I also approve of the inclusion of electrolytes from interesting sources - sodium from Himalayan rock salt and (some) potassium from coconut water powder.Be advised that free amino acids do contain calories (3.4 kcal/g compared to 4 kcal/g in regular proteins), so the 7 grams of those free amino acids per serving contained in this product provide about 25 calories that don’t show up in the Supplement Facts label. This is kind of understandable given that most products with free amino acids don’t declare them at all, as they’re usually not present in enough quantity to make much of a caloric difference, but it’s still arguably misleading.To close out with some remarks specific to the Fruit Punch flavor, I subjectively found it to be in the middle of the pack as far as how much I enjoyed its taste and its tendency to foam up when shaken. For some reason, the powder also contained little sour “flavor crystals” that didn’t like to dissolve immediately. Simply because it meant that I had to let this particular flavor sit for a while before consumption, I’m taking off one star.

I like having this BCAA hydration powder during my workouts. I mix one serving with about 30 ounces of water and that's perfect. It's pretty strong for me if I use less water. I like the flavor, and the sweetness level is good, not too sweet and not much of an aftertaste.

I have done a number of different Hydration Powders and this Fruity flavor is hands down my second favorite! The taste is absolutely delicious! It is refreshing, with just the right balance of peach and mango. It's like sipping on a tropical drink, which makes it so much easier to stay consistent with my supplement routine.Another huge plus is that it’s gluten-free and non-GMO, which aligns perfectly with my dietary needs. The 30-serving container is great value for money, and I love that it mixes easily without any clumping or chalky residue.Overall, Nutricost has nailed it with this product. Whether you’re an athlete, fitness enthusiast, or just looking to improve your hydration and recovery, I highly recommend giving this a try. You won’t be disappointed!

I literally mix it with Hawaiian Punch lol. It’s fantastic. I drink it during extreme workouts and when I mow grass which takes an entire day and puts me through the paces with a non self propelled push mower. It’s the best workout and this is the best recovery hydration powder.Truly exceptional. Highly recommend.

I ordered this product (and three others like it) only to find it has an ingredient that I avoid like the plague. I ordered it thinking it surely would not contain this ingredient, but sure enough, it contains that ingredient. I like that this product has branched chain amino acids with hydration complex and that it is fruit punch flavor. But I dislike that it contains the artificial sweetener sucralose. I will give it to a friend who doesn't care if it contains an artificial sweetener.

Nutricost BCAA + Hydration Powder (Fruit Punch) arrived double sealed to prevent tampering. This product includes a measuring scoop and the powder mixes well using my personal blender. I was blown away by the fruity flavor. It’s enjoyable and sweet. I didn’t detect any chemical or weird aftertastes.Nutricost Performance gained my trust with this product. It works well for muscle recovery and hydration. It tastes considerably better than other BCAA’s I have experienced. Overall, this is a great quality product and it’s very affordable. I like this product so much that I have already ordered more.

This BCAA + hydration powder mixes easily with water, though I will say that (I think because of the calcium content), the resulting mix is a little "grainy" for lack of a better word. Still, very little of those larger particulates settle to the bottom and the mix is tasty and quite easy to drink.The fruit punch flavor is quite strong - it's recommended to mix this with between 8 and 16 oz of water, but I think it'd be way too strong at 8 oz! I usually do between 12 and 16. It comes with a handy scoop to make it easy to portion out the right amount.I've been very pleased with Nutricost's products in the past, and this one is no exception!
