I can not shut up about this book. It’s brilliant and I buy it and send to everyone I know. Some of the absolute BEST somatic exercises written so simple a 5 year old could follow —plus drawings.The last thing anyone wants is a complicated intimidated book on somatics when they are in fight flight or freeze response, and some people are barely hanging on as it is. Easy to follow
This is a great book for beginners who want a simple daily Somatic Yoga practice to use on a daily basis. I love the simplicity of this book as I can do these exercises throughout the day without having to commit to a full length class. Also included in the book is a basic understanding of the Vagus nerve and its functions which I will now research further.

Comprehensive yet simple to implement
I really appreciate this book. Many of these exercises, I’ve done somewhere along the way, but have since forgotten and this book is great in organizing them so I can just look at a table of contents and go to what I feel is right for me at this time. On top of this, there’s so many new things that I’ve never known that are helpful. There are also pictures for poses and exercises! I have a MCF, multiple chemical sensitivities and environmental sensitivities and these exercises help calm my nervous system down so I am not as reactive. Highly recommend!

Excellent book for calming the nervous system
Excellent book with helpful explanations and exercises for calming the nervous system damaged by inflammation from mold related illness.

Great find!
I struggle with several auto immune issues that have caused my nervous system to be completely off balance. I was searching for an easy to use and understand book on Somatic Yoga and I found it! Isabelle Mullesch does a great job simplifying these exercises.

Comprehensive Toolkit!
The Somatic Yoga Toolbox is a comprehensive and complete menu of option for helping regulate the nervous system. It is clear and concise with helpful descriptions of each exercise. I came to this book looking for ways to calm my nervous system with acquired dysautonomia following a mild brain injury, and I learned about additional techniques I did not know about before. Thank you laying this all out clearly, Isabelle Mullesch.

Very helpful and straightforward
I do a lot of yoga and I didn’t realize how many of the poses we do are mentioned in this book. I’m going to try to be more mindful when doing them. This book was very straightforward and easy to read. I’m liked the tips for sleeping and the breathing techniques. This book is full of resources and all of them are simple and easy to implement in one’s daily routine. I’m definitely going to add more of these. Thank you Isabelle!
