So glad I found this transfer belt. Before this one, we had one that just went around the waist. The problem with that is it rides up when being used and it would lose its effectiveness. What’s special about this transfer belt is it goes around the waist and under the legs, plus the leg straps are padded. Also, the waist part has handles which make grabbing so much easier during transfers. It’s survived being machine washed multiple times now. We let it air dry. The only weakness in this belt is that the straps can loosen at the buckle when being used.Bought in Aug 2019. Update April 2020. Belt still as good as new with almost daily use. FYI - We use this belt on my sister who is paralyzed on the right side of her body.

I used this belt to transfer a quadriplegic from one chair to another. It worked as a expected. The handles were nice and the leg straps added stability and did not let the belt ride up too high. The only reason I did not give this five stars is because the leg straps dug into the skin and left marks that took a while to get better. If the straps were wider or padded this might be a lot better for the type of transfer we performed.

This gait belt works much better than just a regular gait belt. The leg loops make the transfer easier for both the lifter and the liftee and it keeps the belt from riding up and possibly injuring a rib. If you have fragile bones this product is the ticket. I would definitely recommend this gait belt with handles and adjustable leg loops. I'm really glad I found this product.

I got this for my mother who has mobility issues. She can stand up but has spinal stenosis that keeps her bent over. This also makes her legs numb and trouble moving them to walk while weight bearing. I used this to lift her from the back end. Basically please pulling her pelvis up to get the weight off her legs and it doesn’t hurt her or me! Easy to get on and off. A life/back saver!

This product is light weight but strong. It allows you customize the fit you need. Great for the caregiver who needs to lift and transfer. The web belt could be a little thicker and wider. Other than that it works fine.

Has worked well so far it's intended purpose. Makes the job easier with 2 person assist.
