IRON VEGAN Athlete’s GAINER™ is a plant-based, high protein, high calorie supplement formulated to support healthy weight gain. ATHLETE's GAINER provides you with 720 clean calories at a 2.85:1 carbohydrate to protein ratio. Review: Happy with this product - For someone who needs a mass gainer to help hit that calorie intake but either cant have or decides to stay away from whey/dairy, this is a great product. I cant have dairy and have trouble with my calories. While there are very few mass gainers in the vegan profile compared to its whey counterpart, I think Iron Vegan does a great job with this product. So you're not stuck with some garbage due to limited choices. I switched from from Mass XXX to this. 190g per serving with over 700 calories of well balanced macros, pretty damn good for a vegan powder!! Right on par with alot of the non vegan mixes actually. I have vanilla, the taste is sweet but not too much. I've found mixing it with 8oz of almond milk and 10oz of water is the best choice for thickness and flavor. It comes to just about 24oz of liquid. Which is alot but again it's over 700 cals, that's a normal amount. It's a bit more clumpy/sticky than others, so it needs to be shaken more. Texture is a bit gritty but it's a mass gainer, you dont even realize it after 2 uses. To the one guy who said it tasted like sand, hes being dramatic. Overall I'm happy with this gainer, I'll continue to use it. Next step, ditch this coronavirus quarantine and wait for the gyms to open!! Ps: my only request, get that price down a bit before Huel steals your customers. Review: Tastes like puke 🤮 - Tastes horrible. From my experience, that throw up taste is the coconut ingredient gone bad/rancid. I've had plenty of products with coconut get that flavor after I had it for a while. Throwing in the trash after one taste. And, fyi the scoop is enormous; I have no idea how one can consume 2 scoops in one serving, especially with how horrible it tastes.

Works well! Takes some getting used to
Finding a protein heavy, non-dairy mass gainer that tastes relatively good is pretty difficult even in today's modern world. This one is probably the best you can get that will hit most, if not all, of the checkboxes. I have a ridiculously fast metabolism but after just using one bag of this stuff I gained about 7 pounds with my arms and chest gaining in noticeable size. Taste is solid, takes some getting used to, but isn't bad like a lot of other vegan protein powders. It also depends what you mix it with, I've been using Almond Breeze's touch of honey almond milk and that's been perfect for me. The powder itself is fine and very messy so you'll have to be precise in how you scoop to avoid getting powder everywhere. It also sometimes doesn't blend 100% leaving chunks stuck to your bottle or blender. However, I don't recommend just using a bottle to dissolve the powder, a blender is definitely the way to go. Haven't had any digestive issues with this powder and I'm able to down my entire serving in seconds when blended correctly. Finding the perfect protein powder or mass gainer is extremely difficult (near impossible); but for the results, the solid taste, and ok(ish) value, I can recommend Iron Vegan for those trying to gain some weight and muscle mass without messing up your stomach or diet.

Perfect for non-dairy diets!
This is the only vegan protein powder I will buy. I have learned this year that dairy really makes my stomach crampy(I have chronic IBS) so I have avoided milk based products, and of course most protein products out there are milk based. I am also allergic to soy protein isolate, so that’s a no-go for me. I searched high and low for a good vegan alternative and the ones I’ve tried before are nasty, bitter, or gritty. This powder is NOT the case in any of those. I am super happy with it. No grittiness, tastes delicious and isn’t gritty. I got the vanilla flavor, and do one scoop with 12oz almond milk, half cup of peanut butter, and a teaspoon of honey plus a few ice cubes. Blend and it’s PERFECT(and a little over 700cal). I am 5’4” and 105 lb and have always had a hard time gaining weight, but since I’m now at the end of my first bag I can say I’ve definitely seen a change in my body for the first time in years, and I am an active weight lifter and equestrian. When I bought it a month ago, it was $52, and just saw the price raised to $62. I think this is a little excessive, even being imported from Ontario, but since I have no other option I will keep buying it.

It tastes like vomit.
I am a amazon addict bc it is convenient, receiving things weekly at least. I have written like one review in 10 years. I was moved to write this bc it is valuable, I think. I hope to save you the money. The quality is very good, the value might even be OK, except it will make you gag almost to drink it. And, I mixed it with a scoop of almond butter and some whole milk yogurt. Seems that would go with 'Vanilla', no? It did not matter. It was still BAD. And, it is huge drink, with 8+ounces of product plus 20 ounces of liquid. Besides the terrible taste that I could not do, the packaging is misleading. I mean yes, I have some responsibility bc I did not do all the calculations. I only read the BIG print, like most people I think. I was looking for a high calorie, vegan protein powder and I saw, "720 Calories/42 Grams of Protein/1Gram of Sugar/Per Serving. WOW, I thought. Perfect! Just what I was hoping for. Well, if you have done other protein powders you have an idea what a 'scoop' or serving means, or should. I have used 6 or more protein powders previously. In fairness they were whey based products. This was my 1st Vegan powder. If that is true for you... BEWARE! Not only was it not palatable to me, the scoop is H U G E. Like 4+ 0unces. Oh, and a serving is not one, but TWO scoops. More than 8 ounces of product. I mean, who is doing the metric to SAE conversion to figure that out before buying? Really! Not to mention, I had gas and burps like never before. I was in pain and it was horrible for more than 6 hours. I suggest you save your money. At $90 per 4.5LB bag it is not cheap. $180 wasted.

Good/clean ingredients. Taste is meh
After ordering this product multiple times in my life. I really wanted to like it because of the ingredients. At first my stomach handled it okay. I feel bloated after drinking it recently. I did gain a few pounds from this product just hard to stick with it. Don’t expect this to blend well in a shaker bottle. One of the worst qualities is the seal on it. Expect it to go bad and for the seal to open randomly from bumping into it on the counter. I use to put half of it in a gallon size ziplock and then roll up the bag and put it in another ziplock. Original review: Two important for me. Good/clean ingredients. Easy to digest. This one Knocks it out of the park on both. This product is big amount and big protein. Taste way better then I thought it would. I actually like it. If you use a blender it’s great. When I use a blender bottle no matter how much I shake still has some clumps but they taste okay and not gritty so all good. Having a sensitive stomach I always wonder how things will sit. Had confidence from other reviews and I can contest. Easy to digest! Let’s not forget the tons of organic ingredients included. Happy purchase and buying again today.

An amazing vegan alternative !
I love this stuff. First let me say I have a really really sensitive stomach. If I even look at some foods wrong I get diarrhea. So I was worried about this because of some of the reviews but it’s fine, no issues whatsoever. I read someone said it is like sand, not sure about that I thought it was actually pretty smooth. So it tastes nothing like vanilla like not even a hint of it. It tastes more like green tea ice cream I would say. Also it should be noted I only take half the serving. It’s still 21 grams of protein. The full serving requires a ton of water and I think it’s just a little to much. But overall I’m really happy with the ingredients and taste!

Smooth texture, tastes good, and Mixes well in a shaker bottle!
I don’t know why people are saying that this protein powder isn’t shaker bottle friendly because It is! I mix the recommended two scoops with warm water in my shaker bottle and it totally dissolves easily every time. Maybe having the water warm is the key? But honestly I have never needed a blender for it. The texture is fantastic, smooth, and not gritty at all. I was a little skeptical at first before I bought this product. Because most of the reviews say that the texture is off and that it doesn’t mix well, but honestly, I have no clue why people are having issues with this. Unless it has been completely reformulated since those reviews? The flavor is good and very pleasant for plant based protein. I’m so happy I found IronVegan, and I’m so excited to see what this protein does for me. I’ll update this review later after I use it for longer. But so far, I highly recommend it!
