Get one
I was a bit nervous having to install this as never done one before....however....it was super easy. Once I'd worked out where best to route the wires, it was super easy to fit and tuck everything behind the trim with the special tool provided. Plugs into the cigarette lighter and switches on with ignition unless your socket is live constantly which means it will record continuously without the engine on. Simply unplug it if that happens. Picture quality from both front and rear cameras is excellent, really clear and detailed. App use is simple enough aswell. Connect to the inbuilt WiFi to access live camera and also the automaticly saved footage. SD card loops and re-writes and footage can be recorded in 1 minute or 3 minute segments. Honestly, this camera is excellent value for money and since buying 1 and being so impressed, I've bought another 3 for the other cars and my parents. The review rating doesn't lie, you won't be disappointed.

This is a really good dashcam - 5 star recommendation
I have had dashcams for my car for a while now, but wanted to get a good quality 4k one for a while with a front and rear camera. I looked around and decided on this set up. It was neatly packed and contained everything you need for set up, including the all important micro SD card as well as the roof lining tool to be able to lift the roof lining to hide the wires. I was a little nervous to start with as I was concerned that the dash cam would need a separate 12v socket but handily it runs as a spur off the main dashcam. You can run just the main camera if you wish. My advice in terms of set up and siting would be to make sure that you really clean your windscreen on the inside where you want to site your camera - in my case I put it on the passenger side, behind the mirror, so it is really unobtrusive. Once you've cleaned your windscreen, be a little careful with the electrostatic sheet you then apply. It's easy to get bits of dust and air underneath it so definitely take care when you apply it, and apply it with a soft cloth. I was in a bit of a rush so used the edge of a credit card, and it scratched the sheet badly so had to throw it away and use the one that was supplied for the rear camera. Once you get going, set up is very easy. Again, just make sure when you are positioning the dashcam, ensure you are happy with the way it is lined up before you remove the cover off the glue pad. If you're working by yourself to fit it, just peel a corner of the glue pad back to start with to check your trial position. The rear one is easy to fit, but as I have a hatchback it's better to fit it to the roof lining rather than the rear glass. The glue pad for this again seems to be more than sticky enough to do this, and then you just have to 'chase' the power lead from the unit through to the front camera via the lining and the door pillars - but again this is pretty easy to do. Once they are installed, setting up the cameras with the wifi connectivity is very straightforward - I did have a bit of a problem to start with as my phone wouldn't pick up the 5G wifi signal, it would only pick up 2.5G - and so it wasn't connecting properly, but I spoke with customer services and they helped me to resolve the issue. Once you're connected you can then adjust all your camera settings as you wish. There is not a 'parking monitor' hardwire option with this camera - but I understand that you can purchase a hardwire kite from the vendor. I think the video quality from the front camera is excellent (I did try to upload a video, but unfortunately as I had set the GPS on, I appear to have fallen foul of the community guidelines as shared personal information so have removed the video - but the 4k quality is very good and even on a dull, wet day which is when I trialled it, it was easily able to pick up registration plates). The rear camera is NOT a 4k, but is a perfectly usable 1096. It shows as a picture in picture on the small screen on the back of the camera, but it records a separate feed on the micro SD. All in all - really pleased with this purchase, and thoroughly recommend it

Great deal with lots of features
Very good package for the price. The kit contains everything you need to install the dashcam including the little tool to push the cables behind the roof/walls of the car. Installing the system was really straightforward and looks really neat. The beauty of this camera is the sleek profile of the dashcam. This means you can hide it behind the rear view mirror and it doesn’t obstruct your view through the windscreen which was one of the main reasons for choosing this camera. The connection to the phone app is really good and made setting up the placement and angle of the dashcam easy as you could watch the live feed on your phone. The rear cam is a nice feature as you’re just as likely to be rear-ended as front-ended!! The only downside is the angle of the cameras as I’m not sure it’s as wide as some other dash cams. It doesn’t show much more than the front/rear of the car, so you can’t see the cars approaching. I guess it would prove that you were driving correctly so I’m happy with the view and the quality of the images is great. Overall, very happy with the dashcam and would definitely recommend.

Neatly compact dashcam with fine image quality, great price too
My top priorities when I was looking for a dashcam were, 1- small and compact, I wanted a dashcam that would be hidden away from my view, not one of those that so clearly look like a camera stuck on the windscreen 2-good image quality, obviously, and I work with great cameras, so I didn't want to be disappointed. I was 'upgrading' from a standard HD dashcam (a Bestsee x9) which was great for the price, but I was curious about 4k quality 3 -not cost too much! Because I just wanted something to get the job done, not Netflix level! This GKU already had some good reviews, has got very good specifications and features, was very similar in compact design to the Bestsee, and was a very good price! You could say it was a bargain for a 4k front and HD rear dashcam kit. It also came with a generous 64Gb microSd card ready fitted, so it was literally ready to go, just stick on your windscreen, plug it in, and off you go. The required GKU Go app was very easy to find on Play Store, very easily connected to the dashcam, and is simple to use. The app' offers several settings and options for the camera, like the 'on screen' recorded information (like a time stamp etc), recording loop length, and in-car sound recording. The first setting change I made was to the 'start recording' voice announcement from the camera, slightly annoying, a simple beep would have been better. The volume can be turned up or down, or off, on this feature, so I turned it off...sorted. The front camera unit itself is nicely compact, so it's perfectly hidden behind my rear view mirror, and the plain design means it's almost hidden from outside too. It looks like part of the car's mirror fitting. This is exactly as I wanted it to be, as you can see from the pictures. I simply have the USB-C power cable hanging down, it doesn't bother me, rather than tucked around the windscreen. The kit does come with power cable plenty long enough to tuck away, and tool to help with this. This cable ends with a power socket plug (with a USB socket usefully on it). I might have preferred a USB connection cable, which apparently the seller offers to send you on request. The camera has proved to be great, coping well with bright summer sunshine, no lens flare, and has very good 4k resolution, a noticeable improvement on my standard definition previous dashcam. See the video clip attached. The included card loop records about 8 hours of driving apparently, so easily a full working days worth. I've fitted an Amazon 128Gb card which I already had, so thats loads of recording... As it's summer, I've yet to see night time footage, but the lens is said to have a f1.7 wide aperture design, I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine, especially under street lamps. The LCD screen on the back is useful and good quality too, and can be set to be on all the time whilst recording, or turn off after a short period. And also, the dashcam records GPS location too, which can locate video clips to a map when viewed in the app. So with the options of time, speed, and location being recorded, you really are fully covered. This might be particularly useful for businesses on their company vehicles, or just for making notes on a holiday road trip..? I haven't fitted the rear camera yet, but it's a neatly small unit too, with plenty of cable to reach from rear to front in a car, and really is a bonus to have it included with such a low priced dashcam kit. So I hope my thoughts on the GKU600Pro are useful for you, I'm very pleased with it, it comes complete ready to go, very easy to set up, and does the job perfectly for not much money. I have no need for more expensive dashcams, it's all here and will be in my car for years to come. Recommended!

Easy to set up and use.
This Dash Cam with its WiFi connectivity to the mobile phone app is easy to set up, monitor, and download images. The 64GB card provides plenty of storage. Its use of GPS to keep date, time and location updated is great. The plastic films for attaching the cameras to the front and read car windows minimizes any loss of visibility. I managed to get all the cables hidden away but spent some time planning the cable routes if this is important to you.

Easy enough to get working, good picture quality.
I'll try and focus on things I did not pick up from other reviews to make this more worth reading... My aim was to install the cameras with the wires hidden as much as possible, but not removing any internal panels or tinkering with the electronics in our new car. So that eliminated the possibility of monitoring when parked, via optional hard wiring kit. Which, incidentally, checks the available voltage and turns off the camera if there is a risk of draining the car's battery. Tip: I got it working indoors first, plugging the camera into USB C for power, downloaded the app, got that working, and checked that both cameras were recording. Preferable, to me, to doing that all in the car. I fitted it, using the recommended route, running both cables across the top of the windscreen under the headliner, across a join in the car's cladding (so, visible for that short stretch). Main camera cable could easily be hidden behind the car's rubber strips and across to the 12v socket, using the supplied cable clips to run it out of sight across the bottom of the dashboard, behind and out of sight. I cleaned all surfaces with meths, to help the clips stick. The rear camera cable ran across the tops of the doors, in the rubber strips, with just a small section visible where it crossed a pillar and at the rear of the car. All nicely fitted and working. I checked the 12v socket loses power when the car is off, so no chance of battery drain overnight. But only then did I start worrying about airbags! Looking into it, I had crossed over two places where the side curtain airbags might want to pop out. Searching for Dashcam and Airbags, I found plenty of videos warning against running cables over them. So I looked into where the airbags are in my car, stripped out the cables and started again. A less amateur fitter would temporarily remove car cladding and run the cables out of sight, avoiding the airbags. I chose to run the rear camera cable across the bottoms of the doors, hidden in the rubber trim, with just a short stretch visible across the foot of the middle pillar. For the windscreen, rather than go across the front end of the curtain airbag, I ran the two cables down the edge of the windscreen, not interfering with the cladding section covering the airbag. To make that as neat as possible, I bought a set of long narrow cable clips and spiral cable sleeving and did the neatest job I could with those, leaving enough clearance to allow them to be opened. The cable clips are too small to carry both cables at once, so it's a bit of a fiddly compromise (one wire has to jump over, see picture), but I am happy enough. All that would apply to any dashcam, so has not affected my rating. The image quality is good. The software is fine, with an impressive amount of control and features. It's a little inconvenient having to connect to the camera's wifi network to access the pictures, rather than it just. mount as a storage device, like a USB drive. I have only accessed the videos by using the camera's software; not looked into downloading and finding a suitable player for the format (I think it uses .ts). I have not used the system long enough that the SD card gets filled; the system should automatically delete the oldest videos to clear space. The rear camera cable has a yellow section in it -- that is a plug and socket, which is convenient if you find there's a knot in the cable, after you have stuck the rear camera to the glass! There is an Allen key supplied, to tighten the hinge of the main camera if needed. Before fitting, look into where you are allowed to put windscreen cameras as far as the MOT test goes, to avoid any surprises. It may help you to know that the main camera slides into a carrier; it is only this which is stuck to the windscreen, so it can be unplugged and slid out if needed, e.g. so you can easily take it indoors to view the videos or play with the settings in the app. As I did not fit the hardwire kit, if I want to monitor the car while it's parked, I'll power the camera with a rechargeable battery, over USB C. Customer support has been excellent. The camera was around £80 when I bought it, after applying a discount voucher which was available. The instructions are very good for this sort of product, very few errors, but I wish they had mentioned avoiding the side curtain airbags. Be ready to buy more cable clips as very few are supplied. If sticking the rear camera to the glass, you can use the second electrostatic sticker supplied but there are no spares beyond that.

Not actually true 4K..
Good bits: some good functions for the price point, the app control on a dashcam like this one is so much better than using clunky buttons and a tiny screen to navigate the settings. I like the button that allows you to physically lock a video file quite easily. Electro static film they send with it to allow easy removal is good It came with SD card. Both front and rear cam were also pretty easy to install and get up and running. Bad bits: Now on to the more critical end of my review. This dashcam kit/the description is misleading regarding video quality. The video quality is reasonable, and probably good for the price point (although yet to test the dashcam at night and how it performs there), however, I questioned the '4K' claim when I first exported footage as it just didn't quite look 4k (I played from good spec PC connected to full 4k Monitor in 4K capable software). In the settings I have it set to 4k+FHD, so ie, 4K for the main front camera and Full HD for the rear cam/1080P. However, upon exporting footage and not being convinced.. I checked the actual resolution in the file info of the exported files from both, the rear and front camera. The rear is accurate, it says FHD in the settings on the camera and the video file info on pc shows as 1920x1080. However, the front camera which is supposedly the '4K' cam, different story, upon checking the exported file the dimensions/resolution of the video is 3200x1800. This is not true '4K' So, the '4k' claim is misleading I should note that I first exported the footage using the app, so to give the benefit of the doubt, I then put the SD card directly in to my pc to check the footage there, just in case the app was compressing the exported video resolution. but same result, 3200x1800 for the front camera video. Leaving 3 stars because dash cam's serve purpose overall, but the description is not entirely accurate in my mind as video exports from main camera are not true 4K. It's still probably high enough quality to be good enough though but I will need to test more, I just found the 4k claim misleading..

Good dash cam for price!
4.5/5 The dash cam is good clear video and audio. Picks up an emergency stop well. I live in the country side so lots of animals about the roads. It does always registers cattle grids as a 'crash' and locks the video. Sometimes this gets annoying but at least I know it would work in the circumstance it senses an impact. Plenty of storage space. Ease to use app, however the app is a bit slow. Main problem is that I can't buy a replacement of the clip it slides into, only the stickers which sticks the clip to the windscreen. My windscreen cracked recently and when they replaced it they took the attachment clip that was stuck to it, so now I can't put it back up.

Activate flight mode on your phone & disconnect your car WIFI to connect to the dashcam WIFI
I purchased the dash cam, and it was delivered in 3 days. It's a very attractive unit, small and lightweight. The installation is easy. Hiding all the wiring behind panels and rubber door seals is easy. It's best to watch a few YouTube installation videos first. I placed the power cable up around the passenger foot well behind the glove box and brought it out to the cigarette lighter in the center console. All the cabling is hidden except the cigarette lighter plug and a few centimeters of cable. I used the electrostatic stickers on the front and back windows and stuck the cameras to the stickers. The electrostatic stickers are too large, and I cut them down to size first. Using the stickers makes it easier, in the future, to remove the cameras. Just peel off the sticker with the camera attached. The only tricky part is choosing where to mount the front camera making sure the camera is out of the driver's field of vision, level and pointing straight forward. I mounted the front camera on the passenger side at the top of the windscreen next to the rear vision mirror. I mounted the rear camera in the center, top of the rear window. The phone app works well except you need to put your phone into flight mode otherwise it interferes with the app. I had to disconnect from my home WIFI and car WIFI to make it work. The dashcam has its own 5.8Ghz WIFI which is reasonably fast for downloading. The images from the rear camera are 1080p and very good. The front camera images can be 1080p, 2.5K or 4K. You can set the videos to be 1, 3 or 5 minutes long. The default one minute video time is ok. I have trouble running the 4K images on my phone, but they run well on my computer using the free VLC media player. The standard Microsoft media player won't run the 4K videos. However, I'm not finding much difference between the quality of 2.5K and 4K so I will just use 2.5K to save memory space on the 64GB micro-SD card provided. That will give me more video time. I have only been using the dashcam for one week, but I am very happy with the product and price.

A Reliable Companion on the Road
I recently purchased the GKU Dash Cam Front and Rear Camera, and I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. Not only does this dash cam deliver exceptional image quality—capturing clear footage both day and night—but the customer service experience truly sets it apart. First and foremost, the installation process was a breeze. The device comes with comprehensive instructions and all the necessary accessories, making it easy to set up in my vehicle. The video quality is impressive, with a wide-angle view that captures everything happening on the road. The night vision feature is also noteworthy, providing clear recordings even in low-light conditions. However, what really stood out to me was the customer service I received after deciding to reach out with a few questions about the device. The support team responded promptly to my inquiry, providing detailed answers and helpful tips that made my user experience even better. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff went above and beyond to ensure I felt confident using the dash cam. Moreover, they offer a generous warranty policy, which gives me peace of mind knowing that I am covered in case of any issues. It’s evident that GKU values its customers, taking the time to ensure satisfaction well beyond the point of sale. Overall, I highly recommend the GKU Dash Cam to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly device. With excellent video quality and outstanding customer service, it’s a worthwhile investment for protecting yourself on the road.

Great Value for Money
Installation was very easy, even for someone with little technical knowledge. I followed a few YouTube videos from other users and had it set up quickly. The dashcam is compact and doesn’t block my view, but the video quality is very clear for both day and night driving. Connecting to the app and downloading videos to my phone was simple, and I was able to save clips easily. Overall, this dashcam works well and offers great value for money. Highly recommended.
